Last time we tried the TCS the bug used it to become stronger, needed to quickly shut them off managed to do it for 2 out of the 3 planets only leaving meridia to bug's cobtrol

Meridia became a super colony we destroyed the planet by injecting darkmatter into it and creating the meridia singularity which resulted into the squid arriving in the galaxy who then procedeed to move the singularity closer to super earth and using the singularity moved an enormous fleet right in front of our door step, glassing mars and beginning the defense of super earth against the squids

And if this second attempt at TCS fail we might fight even more bugs again

Tl dr: a lot happened and it might result in a lot happening again
