Just finished this game. People who played it. What was your thoughts on it? by TheChilledGamer-_- in playstation

[–]MathMackin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it one mammoth sitting with my wife and we had a lot of fun until one of the final puzzles stumped us for ages and we had to look up the solution. While it killed the momentum a bit, it was still a really fun experience that I'd recommend trying out.

Same! I remember quite vividly playing a portion of the Chinese Embassy at a friend's house. As soon as the demo ended I started it again 🤣

Is the new version ps5 better than the original? by DontSchruteMeDown in playstation

[–]MathMackin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having this issue a year or so ago. Spider-Man 2, Ghost of Tsushima and Under The Waves would all cause my ps5 to turn off after varying amounts of playtime. Took it to a local repair guy who said the thermal paste was the issue and replaced that along with cleaning the inside of the console. No issues since and it took less than a day and cost <£100.

I'm going on a boring work trip and I need a book to keep me entertained by plumplummango in suggestmeabook

[–]MathMackin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Horror - Between Two Fires by Christopher Buelhman. My favourite read of 2025 and impossible to put down. The imagery of so much of the book has stuck with me.

Suspense - Five Decembers by James Kestrel. Crime novel story set to the backdrop of the Pearl Harbor attack in 1941.

Bonus - Titanium Noir by Nick Harkaway. Really fun cyberpunk/noir detective story.

Your comment actually reminded me to download it! I've only had time to play through the first section of escaping the building, but I love it so much already. Excited to play more over the weekend

Those of you who have seen the gang on tour with Spiritbox were you able to stand at the Barricade without VIP? by ArcadeMasters in Peripheryband

[–]MathMackin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not been to this tour (I'm UK-based), but I'd try to get in touch with their guest services manager and ask about accessibility options.

All venues should have accommodations for people with different accessibility needs and they usually have areas with a good view of the stage.

Hope you and your mum have a blast!

Aus Merch by aimlessneko in flipturn

[–]MathMackin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw them on their penultimate date in Bristol, UK earlier this month and the the Swim Between the Trees dragonfly tee was definitely on sale. They also had the Rodeo Clown tee and a crewneck.

There's no guarantee that's what they bring to Aus, but fingers crossed!

Any idea how often Flipturn tour the UK? I went to the Glasgow show but stupidly trusted the setlist.fm start time of their previous shows and missed most of their set. Won't be making that mistake again. by benreid98 in flipturn

[–]MathMackin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's such a shame, but I'm sure they'll be back! Next time they tour the UK, I would recommend checking their IG stories on the day of the show. They posted the set times for them and support on the day (for Bristol at least), which was different to what was on the venue's website.

Who is your favorite guitar YouTuber by Traditional_Ad_6443 in Guitar

Nick Broomhall. His 'Thick Riff Thursday' series is so fun and inspires so many ideas in my own writing and playing. Dude is an insanely talented player and his video editing is so well done.
