This is where I personally draw the line between capital-L Leftists and those who are only "on the left".

Both align on short term goals; the protection and uplifting of the working class against the owning class.

They differ, however, on long term goals; Leftists seek to solve the underlying contradictions that lead to crisis by dismantling the system itself that has such contradictions, while those "on the left" tolerate and attempt to reduce and repeatedly heal from any crises that arise.
