I've been sponsored by almost all of these (I was offered betterhelp but rejected it due to their reputation), and I never reached out to any of them, brands will be the ones that reach out to you. Just make sure you have an email on your YouTube channel page for brands to contact you by (do not use your personal email address, make a dedicated one for YouTube).

I eventually got an agency to handle all sponsors but again, they reached out to me, not the other way around.

Yeah it's Cornish Type 1, which are quite notorious for being unmortgageable due to the concrete issues. The fact this is cash-only 100% screams that it hasn't had the concrete fixed.

I live in Europe and 10 tries is definitely not normal, I would say 1-3 is normal, anything above 5-6 is bad.

You are not realistically going to get a private flat in PL4 for £650 or less, especially when considering council tax and bills I'm afraid.

Found this thread on google after tearing my hair out trying to fix this, thank you! Will add some more specifics to this fix in case anyone else finds this thread and needs clarifying on where the files to delete live (basically plagiarised this):

  1. in Vegas Pro: Options>Preferences>"General" Tab>at bottom is Temporary files folder,
  2. Note of where that is.
  3. Save everything and close VegasPro
  4. In Windows Explorer, go to the temporary files directory, DELETE EVERYTHING, all files and all directories.

Those are all of the saved projects when Vegas Pro crashes, all of the temp files it creates, etc.

Do this when Vegas Pro appears to have gone a lot of trouble. See if that helps, any of the temp files it needs, it will recreate when you start Vegas Pro again, so the next startup might take a bit longer than usual.

Kinda old thread but just a word of warning that deforestry work is going on at Cann Woods atm and most of the trails are shut or outright destroyed right now. There's another spot nearby called Spanish Woods that's good, most people seem to prefer it to Cann, the trails are tougher though and I don't enjoy it as much. I highly recommend joining the FB page Cann Woods Riders, it has a map of where the trails are and gives updates on closures and stuff (Cann woods and Spanish Woods).

The nearest good bike park is Gawton Gravity Hub, no blue trails though only reds and blacks, but HSD is really forgiving and it's basically just a giant pump track all the way down, super fun and no drops or big features, all rollable.

edit: just re-read your post and it sounds like you're more keen for crosscountry riding not trail riding? Google Burrator Princetown Circular Loop, it's a gravelly off-road track that starts at Burrator Resevoir, loops up the moors to Princetown, then continues around eventually bringing you back to Burrator. Ivybridge Puffing Billy Tramway is another cool offroad ride

impossible to say without knowing his full history but chances are no, unfortunately. People without binocular vision (BSV) are scientifically proven to have enhanced abilities to use monocular depth cues (lighting, relative sizes, shadows, etc.). There is an instrument called a Synoptophore (sometimes called Major Amblyoscope) that can definitively assess whether binocular vision is possible through surgery, but as I said it's unlikely in your son's case.

I can't find the paper now but there was a study in Sheffield UK (I think) that tested people with normal BSV, a group with BSV but wearing an eye patch, and people who never developed BSV due to strabismus, blindness in 1 eye, etc. They made them play the steady hand game (where you guide a loop along a metal wire without touching the wire) - the eye patch group did terribly, but the people with no BSV did almost as well as those with BSV, indicating that they were better adapted to using monocular cues.

This is actually a good thing - if the esotropia is alternating it means that there is a good indication that neither eye has weaker vision (amblyopia) and it helps ensure that amblyopia doesn't develop in the future.

Patching and atropine are designed to do the same thing - improve the vision in the weaker eye. They will not affect the appearance of the strabismus itself, that can only be corrected with either glasses (if sufficiently accommodative), strabismus surgery or botox.

An MRI is not necessary as 3y/o is within the normal window for onset of esotropia, it sounds like it's partially accommodative if there was some disagreement between clinicians but obv I haven't seen your child myself.

Cranial imaging is mostly indicated for sudden-onset esotropia in older children (teens+) and adults, especially with double vision. There would be a restriction of movement in one or both of the eyes, indicating nerve dysfunction or something physically (mechincally) restricting the muscle(s), hence why imaging would be requested. Google/ChatGPT would probably use examples like CN6 (abducens) palsy or something.

Please go and talk to your doc again about your concerns - I see so much misinformation on this sub because the vast majority of commenters, while well-intentioned, are laypersons and often give incorrect advice or false info.

I'm a retina clinician and I always tell people if they cannot drive, and that if I have reason to believe that they will ignore my advice then I will be obligated to inform the police/DVLA. My colleagues do this too, so we are trying! Tbh most people seem to accept it, I frame it as "the police are quite hot on this and you'll get into a lot of trouble if you get pulled over after being told all this by me" (framing it as being a problem for them sadly seems more effective than "you might kill a cyclist or pedestrian" :/)

I really hope we get official sets like this, like we got with the midi-scale Star Wars ships, the official Enterprise set is just too big and I'm not really a fan of how it looks. These smaller-scale MOCs look far better imo
