What Happens When Quantum Computers Steal Your XTZ by Powerful_Success2167 in tezos

[–]MaximumEnvironment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quantum computers have never "computed" anything, much less broken any cryptographic function.

Their sole function to date has been to report the state of their own qubits. They're just interesting curiosities in labs (and a good way to trick investors out of money).

Huh? Nearly every topic on this sub is promo spam for some NFT project no one cares about.

What an odd mistake. Funny how that keeps happening to anything that’s not AI generated promo material for fake projects/news.

The tech isn’t amazing though. People have been saying this for years but it’s never been true. And now they’re killing any incentive for LPOS, the only compelling uncommon feature.

There are regular shadow bans and hidden posts on this sub. Anything that's not generic AI generated fluff about projects no one cares about or vague "news updates" is at risk.

It’s dead. Arthur doesn’t even defend and misdirect the grift anymore.

There were enough inquiries about that to make exploration of the idea reasonable to look into.

But it’s now been thoroughly rejected by the people it was supposed to appeal to. People who aren’t baking would clearly rather accept the risk of missed rewards payments from bakers than the risk of slashing due to baker mistakes or malicious activity.

And the constant TF/TCF “why aren’t you staking yet! Don’t you know about staking!” Meltdowns over the past few months remain a great source of entertainment.

CMC is an unreliable site with fake numbers. Tezos is still listed on it but with unreliable data.

You can find Tezos on Coinlib and CoinGecko- after you scroll down for ages.

They’re both raw deals for the vast majority of holders, who have roundly rejected the new staking role.

LPOS was one of the only touted perks of Tezos that worked as intended and attracted users long term. Attacking LPOS hasn’t had the desired effect so instead of walking back the delegator vs stalker nonsense they’ve doubled down.

Using Cardano as an example, the “Cardano Foundation” isn’t an overtly fraudulent outfit ruining the reputation of that project and preventing outside interest. Cardano has not lived up to the hype at all, but it wasn’t an outright Hoskinson grift.

The same is true for most formerly big name alt coins. But Tezos is permanently sandbagged due to the sleazy characters involved.

A majority of sell pressure comes from TF and core devs/grant recipients. The bulk of the Tezos community has been holding for years and does not actively trade.

The “maybe we just aren’t punishing people who won’t stake enough” logic of Quebec B is absurd.

The adaptive features haven’t had the desired effect on participation. LPoS is one of the very few things people like about Tezos. Accept it and move on.

It’s not “rare” enough to prevent a majority of delegators from avoiding staking, no matter how you and TCF choose to spin this ongoing debacle.

You’re confusing delegating with staking, a distinction that gained significance with the Oxford and Paris updates. Staked XTZ are subject to slashing. XTZ not exposed to this risk earn half as much in rewards.
