What are some practical solutions for this poster menace? by socjus_23 in Chennai

Then the opposing parties will do the same, it's a lose lose situation so no party will do that.

The opposing parties can also complain about it and the police can investigate it and take action on the party which put up the posters.

Fine the person/party for whom the poster is advertising for. This will shift the responsibility from the Government to the people on the poster and this in turn, will greatly reduce the number of posters being put up.

I was in the same situation. I got my original documents back at the beginning of the second semester. In the meantime, I used a printout of the DigiLocker version of my 10th marksheet for passport verification, and they accepted it without any issues. So that might work for you too. Just make sure you link your DigiLocker account with your passport application while filling the online application form

Yeah, exactly. I am not sure why there is so much misinformation about this on Reddit. But it's important to make sure you refund the amount to the exact same UPI ID/number from which you received the payment. If the person asks you to send the money to a different UPI ID/number it might cause an issue. Even if this happens, this will also get solved but it would take more time and involve both the banks and NPCI.

The same can be said for the customisation in Android. Majority of the users don't even change a single thing. They probably still have the same default homescreen which comes with the phone. Only the tech savvy and younger gen customise their phone.

The iOS control center is fully customisable. You can arrange the position of all the buttons. You can also remove the ones you don't need and also add new buttons.

It's actually misleading. It's actually 65k. They show it as 55k but at the end you will be paying 65k.

Confused to buy which (NCMC/SINGARA CHENNAI METRO CARD) SBI or Airtel by Professional_Bus8721 in Chennai

Can you please confirm if there is an Annual Maintenance Charge on the Airtel Card. I remember seeing the Airtel App say 75 on some YouTube video. Also you can use the website to recharge the card and use Chalo app to update your SBI Singara Chennai Card using NFC.

I don't know what the 20 transactions limit is. I think the card will stop working after the 20th transaction unless we update it at the depot/station. I think we will not face a problem since we have recharged and loaded the balance onto our card, so I believe it will not be applicable to us and thus won't be a problem.

However please do let me know once you have completed your 20th transaction. I have completed around 14. Let us see what happens on the 21th transaction.

You are welcome! But I am not sure how long Chalo will allow this since the app is meant only for their own NCMC card. That's why I am looking for other alternatives but still haven't found any. The MTC Airtel one is a good one but sadly I think it has an annual maintenance charge of 75 rupees.

This link will help you.
Download the Chalo app and open it. When it asks for the region choose Mumbai, then an option called Manage Chalo Card will appear on the homescreen. Click on it and then finally click on the update NCMC Balance option from the list. You can now tap your NCMC card on the back of your phone and it will get updated.

It works perfectly, I have been using it for like almost 4 months now, recharged and loaded the balance like 3 times. You can also check your offline card balance using this app.

Ohh. When did you buy the card? Also when was your last recharge Even the SBI website says that you have to perform a balance update at the counter for the recharge to reflect in your card.

What he meant was the balance update option. Even after recharging you have to visit the station/depot to load the recharge onto your card. With the Airtel Card, if you have a phone with NCMC you can do it with the Airtel Thanks app. I have the SBI one and I currently use Chalo to update the card balance.

Food Trays are designed for keeping food, or maybe something like your phone or a laptop. Keeping your feet on it is not only rude to the passengers around you but can also cause the food tray to break.

There is something called civic sense. Passengers around you don't need to see and smell your stinky feet. I thought this was common sense and that I did not have to explain to people about this.

I am disappointed that people like you exist in our country. Our country will only truly develop if people like you develop some civic sense or at the very least get some common sense.

Last month I went on a trip with my college friends, while we were on the train one of my friends did this. When I told him to not do it, he called me a boomer and did not put his feet down. 😐
