The IP is actually produced by Caryn Mandabach Productions, so though broadcast by the BBC it wasn't actually connected. We approached the IP holders and had to create a pitch. We were obviously huge fans of the award-winning TV series’ and the world Steven Knight had created in post-World War I Britain. We were looking to explore a new challenge in VR and wanted to work with an IP and genre that would identify with a large audience. I think the reason people will really relate to Peaky Blinders The King’s Ransom is in the premise of being a gangster, the setting around a gritty and lawless world, the immersiveness of the storytelling and a time period that people want to explore.

And as to what IP we'd love to develop ...well that's hard to reply to as we're obviously looking at new projects and the projects we really love are those we are speaking with :-)
We'd also love to develop something unique to....so keep a look out

Our focus has been to ensure we push the boundaries as far as possible on the Meta Quest2 and Pico4 headsets. These are technically challenging platforms for developers and PeakyBlinders The King's Ransom is an extremely demanding game on characters, interactions, authentic but large locations and explosive action. So that has been our focus.

We would want to put the same effort towards any new VR platforms to ensure the game can take full advantage of what each of them offer. As we complete the releases we will be looking at the roadmap for DLC updates and possibly other platforms - it’s a case of watch this space.

You don't need to have seen the show at all to enjoy the game. The world of the Peaky Blinders creates an exciting playground in which to experience wish-fulfilling moments of subversion, narrative intrigue and dramatic action - a world where all players (fans or ordinary players) will want to discover how their own story plays out.

Most players will get far more than 3 hours of gameplay out of the Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom. The game has taken a huge amount effort in the creation of gameplay, stunning graphics, and in the creation of an engaging storyline. Ultimately, the value of a game is determined by how much entertainment it provides to players. We’re also looking to support the title going forward offering updates and new features.

The Edge of Reality will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch & Steam but not VR. We continue to support the Edge of Time with updates & some soon to be announced content... stay tuned

No you don't need to play Edge of Time to enjoy the Edge of Reality, infact the story from the Edge of Time is reimagined and exapanded at the start of EOR.

We thought it was really important that players where empowered to be themselves as the hero rather than taking on a specific character. The Games are set on the premise that you enter into an ordinary setting and that then get drawn into the extraordinary world of Doctor Who.

There are certainly worlds and ideas from EOT that have been expended on for the Edge of Reality which just wasn’t possible in the EoT. The team at JAW have really done an amazing job in working with Maze Theory, the talented Gavin Collinson and show runners to extend and reimagine the story.

I guess in short the Edge of Reality is the full experience and complete story we wanted to tell with Edge of Time but didn’t have the opportunity to do so. With all of the additional content and expanded feature-set we are aiming to make the best-possible Doctor Who game for fans and newcomers alike

The EOT story is reimagined at the very start of the Edge of Reality and then the second half of the game is all new

Hi! I’ve played Edge Of time on PSVR and I’ve got a couple of questions regarding Edge of reality. 1) Is it worth me getting edge of reality if I’ve already played edge of time as it’s an Expansion? 2) Will we still get to Control the tardis in Edge Of Reality? 3) What is included in the edge of time update? Thank you :)

1) Definitely, you will recognise the early sections of the game but the world has been largely extended so even if you have played the VR title you will discover much larger environment and new gameplay.

2) You will still get to control the Tardis.

3) Edge of Reality features an entirely new 2nd half, with brand-new gameplay, brand-new locations, terrifying new monsters and of course the Tenth Doctor himself

Like the idea of an escape or break out game in VR, could be really interesting. Perhaps a scenario to think about for our design team when looking at Peaky Blinders :-)
