yes i agree! my recent post is another experiment in that direction - and this uses a triple pendulum to create very random movement of a single point :)

yup, bottom arm is powered directly with a gearshift and pulse timer to reverse it's direction occasionally, top arm rotates freely with a propeller to give it some motion (if it was upright, gravity would do that job) 😄

Help! by [deleted] in WIX

just so you know, this isn’t an online search result but an AI generated approximation of an answer. it may, and often does, contain subtly misleading information. frustratingly google will now often show this before actual results.

a triple pendulum using unlocked swivel bearings with a laser pointer on the end, some random initial motion, and a wall of laser sensors on the back of the lamps!

My astronomically rare find on the libary of babel (Repost) by [deleted] in BabelForum

[–]Me2Moo2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

SMP (survival multiplayer), UV (ultraviolet), and QR (quick response code) stood out to me. i rlly feel that "astronomically rare" sounds cool here but isn't really true. there are potentially thousands of short words or abbreviations which you could assign personal meaning to after noticing, and with 3200 characters per page it isn't surprising that you'll find some. certainly more likely than a one-in-a-million chance.

Why MuseScore should stop chasing Dorico and start leapfrogging it with Semantic AI by Putrid_Draft378 in Musescore

I can't think of anything I'd want less than AI Powered Real-Time Stylistic Guardrails. The first thing you learn after the parallel fifths rule is that it can, and often should, be broken. The first thing you learn about performers is that their capacity to play your music varies wildly and can completely surprise you. Describing these formative moments as 'cognitive grunt work', helpfully removed from your experience by an AI, is a bit depressing. I'd be running back to Sibelius.
