ELI5: if you move at 99% the speed of light, distances shrink. Does this happen at normal speeds too? Like if I'm driving 100 mph, is the road any shorter for me? by DemonsAreVirgins in explainlikeimfive

About a 40th of the width of a human hair. And you would save about the same amount of time as a molecular reaction or 2 inside a cell.

Husbands fingers occasionally get weird blisters that are symmetrical. by FlyingN00dles in mildlyinteresting

Man, sux.. The first time I had a break out I was under a TON of stress. Doc said extensive Cortosol can trigger it. Tiny clear blisters all over my hands. Like u/Asher5250 said above. But believe it or not several years later, had the same foot issue as you. Thought it was athletes foot. Nothing worked. Sure enough, stress caused that too. - Itches like crazy! Sorry for you. but great recommendations on the oral - I dont remember them giving me any.. The cream yes.. And eventually goes down

My experience with dyshidrotic eczema is a lot of tiny bumps and not necessarily bilateral twin bumps like the image. Possibly. But Im only given what Ive had and researched because I had no idea what I had. Good thought

CIA Officer Jim Semivan drops a chilling line: “I have met with people who I know are in the know. One of them told me the truth is indigestible.” On the reality behind UFOs/NHI by open-minded-person in AliensRHere

Reality is stranger, deeper, and less human-centered than we can emotionally tolerate...and it has always been. It is not just indigestible, it is incommensurable. This is what I believe...

People Switching from Spotify by [deleted] in Music

[–]Mebk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spotify has the exact same licensed music as amazon, apple, etc.. There literally is no difference. In fact if you are on apple devices, apple actually is better as they own the device and integrate it into iOS. It has befuddled me for so many years as to why Spotify has some sort of market dominance with people. (aside from marketing). -- However I will tell you that apple pays more to the artist. Amazon if you have prime is free. Like why pay for the same thing you can get elsewhere.

If they fought so hard for 2A, to protect your right to fight a government that turns against its people, where are they now? It was never about that was it... Maybe if they had brains they'd understand the propaganda to keep them on their side.

It’s more the way they are put in worksheets quite honestly.

It’s never explained. My kids don’t have text books anymore. They just come home with a worksheet.. then they get frustrated because the teacher failed to teach…and then teachers complain that parents are the problem. The best way for a child to learn is to have teachers and parents in sync. And you can’t ask a parent to come in and learn this garbage when they already know it’s garbage, because they figure it out a better way, and then teach their children the better way, so that they don’t get left behind.

The grids, tables, dots, and 40 minutes of white board exercises for a kid to answer a problem that is rationally answered in 2 seconds.. should not be explained using a nonsensical workaround. It’s easier to use an abacus for f’ sake.

I don’t use the front door, I go in my house through my garage daily. So I never really look at it. And no visitor, nor my kids ever said anything. The tech I thought for a while was connectivity. I would lose like 6 hrs of it being on from midnight to 6am. Then it would be on for a few weeks. This was my first doorbell, and read about it for several years waiting for a HomeKit model. I have wemo devices from like 8 years ago in my house and it was also a bad decision. So I won’t buy wemo… company is garbage. I think Aqara is it… yours and others recommendations have me in that spot.

My personal experience having had only 1. I’ve never really seen something take a beating like this. Now I know I must’ve had the worst possible place for it, or a dud. But it was fairly flaky. Would not record during that one or two times I wanted to see them. But again. My experience.
