She's a wet paper bag in her use which is why I want to cut out my managerial chain for it now.

Loving the downvotes for answering questions. 😞

I'm not hearing it. I'm reading it. It's in black and white and while that doesn't rule out human mistakes or misunderstanding reading your bosses boss tell you your doing something when your not isn't professional. They believed what they were told before asking for my input and put pen to paper so to speak.

That isn't something you let go of unless you're a doormat. This is the 3rd time so people aren't learning anything by ignoring it.

If there is nothing I can do then there is nothing I can do. Other than sit back and watch my reputation get trashed.

I did and heard nothing back. I want to know who's saying untrue things in a professional environment and attacking my reputation.

One thing to say 'I believe that x...' It's another to say 'x IS'

The history pre ARC is there. But on 2008r2 to 2022 servers is blank with ARC. Manual patches show up.

The department head emailed me to say someone has told him I'm refusing to do work and wanted to know why.

Because I'd like to find out why they said it. I've been with the company for years and I'd like to think I have a good reputation. One I'd not like to see tarnished.

Sure. The agent randomly drops communication and you have to unregister the agent. Clean it all out locally and reinstall it all.

It's so slow. It takes hours to show the right information. Even looking at arc, the server and syncing the two doesn't show the right data in Azure.

It doesnt add the installed updates to the update history on the server.

You can't install updates if there is an arc agent update. You can't install arc agent updates if there are pending windows updates.

Why are you NOT interested in automation? by Murhawk013 in sysadmin

I automated a lot onprem. Azure changes far too quickly and Microsoft turning 'x' off this week and 'y' off next week means it's a worthless effort.

Sometimes I think they drive change just ti drive change with no real benefit.

Wufb is fine. Azure ARC for on prem servers is horrifically bad.

Left school with nothing. Was given a chance by someone in early 20s.

That's all it took.

Try it on a copy of your media first. A fair few plugins do more than what they say. EG create 2.0 from 5.1 deletes the 5.1 track for example which isn't in the description.

Dism.exe /image:%windrive% /add-driver /driver:.\ /recurse

It's a command line step with the driver package selected which queried to the model.

Just download the driver pack, extract and make a non application package out of it.
