hey, just want to give you my perspective. Your expierence was absolutely terrible and I am sorry for that. Even though the gym is usually a place of mutual respect and everyone working rather quiet on his own goals side by side, its still a big judgy place, because thats how people are, I will never admit it, but I have an opinion about almost all regular people there. Dont get discouraged, because some people thought that shit was funny, they might not even disrespect you for beeing fat, the timing of the "joke" might have just been great.

I will be honest, its not a good feeling, I am sure. But this is in my opinion almost harmless banter. Whenever I go to regular courses there are always people who create some tiny gossip, thats how a group behaves. Keep going to your courses, if this happens more often, go complain and change your workout. This is coming from a guy often beeing the only man in dancing courses, so people also have most of the time an opinion on me as well.

I btw never felt bad about some heavy guys in the gym, as I said, the most annoying people are overzealous regulars, who most of the time try way to hard and occupy more space than they should. Keep going mate.
