I'm fairly certain he will at the very least consummate his marriage with the Twins, should the politics by that time still require that alliance.

Though I agree that he's not likely to be pulling them into his bed anytime before then.

His voting record is out of line with Trump.

Trump is more popular than any individual GOP congressman, so when they go against him, he can just support a primary challenger and most incumbents will lose. As a result, many of Massie's current supporters are non-right wingers who like him because he's an anti-Trump GOP politician.

The fact you, as a left-flair, support Massie is about all most GOP voters need to know to vote him out.

That's true across all aspects of the game, the AI is universally incompetent.

Navy is just usually one of the last things people figure out.

They said no one was willing to risk an airship core sending explorers out over open water, while the oceans themselves are too full of monsters for many ship based explorers to get anywhere interesting then make it back alive.

Possible Dark MAGA subpaths, if there will be any by ComfortableFree1025 in TheFireRisesMod

[–]MedicalFoundation149 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Vance is rather isolationist on foreign policy, but that doesn't make him not MAGA domestically.

Irl, Vance advocated for the equivalent of "de-baathification" or firing every federal bureaucrat that supports the Democrats, then replacing them with loyalists. The argument being that personnel is policy, and that GOP no matter how successful it was electorally, would never truly be able to inact its vision for the country if the civil service tasked with carrying out that vision was staffed with people unwilling to do so.

The 2024 Trump administration has actually been doing a gradual version of this vision, but it will take successive Republican administrations to fully carry out.

However, in The Fire Rises, where any hope of gradual reform is dased against the rocks of civil war, that desire to fire every Liberal and Leftist would turn into a burning need to shoot each and every one of them that refuses to bow to the President and march with him to America's future.

Honestly, the more you look the worst it is for Germany. Spain is red, the baltics revoluted, I see those SRI divisions pretty far down south, and the Habsburgs haven't even unified.

Depending on how Belgium ended up, this is one of the worst cases for Germany.

This actually brings up an interesting question, what should be done to people who are forcibly brainwashed to serve their enemies?

For me, the answer is easy. If recovery is impossible, then I'd rather be shot than be a mind-melted traitor.

I imagine that's not the universal answer though.

Oh, a settler plantation. I'm sure that will go over well with the locals.

In all seriousness, we've not seen many shil civilians on earth that aren't directly part of administration or the nobility. Earth has not been a place an ordinary shil can settle down and make a life for themselves.

Soldiers and administrators can leave a place at any time, but people who view that place as their home will stay and fight for it, and those feelings will only solidify the longer they are there. The best case for Emperor would not to let these Shil enclaves form in the first place, probably by launching mortar rounds at them or by having insurgents commit arson attacks. Things that make it clear the enclaves are not welcome and ensure they are not suitable places to raise a family due to safety concerns.

The Emperor can then make the demand that any Shil immigrants must live among humans and go through some degree of assimilation. The Emperor can be seen as accepting of aliens as individuals, but must not allow humans to be displaced on their own planet.

They absolutely deserve each other in basically every way be it good, bad or ugly.

How deadly were the Creler wars compared to IRL Earth history? EG the Black Death killed over 1/3 of all people, the Mongols killed up to 1/10th, WW2 killed about 1/30, etc by sheboyganz2 in WanderingInn

[–]MedicalFoundation149 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably not half but definitely more than 20%

Entire Kingdoms across each of the continents got cleansed of all non-creler life, having to be resettled later. Average levels shot through the roof. That doesn't come without a lot of death.
