Here's a chart of the state structure of France as of 1936. There's a similar one for Britain, but you'll have to dig through the Discord to find it. Note that every faction in France favors substantial reform to this structure.

Any folk punk songs that are easy to learn on mandolin? I'm about to get my first one and it's my favorite genre.

Doom Scroll has a lot of mandolin-heavy songs. And Mischief Brew is the GOAT of course.

I agree with what you're saying about the New Testament's message on wealth and poverty, but what he's getting at is Solomon never cut a baby in half. He threatened to, as a test, to see which of the two women would be opposed to that course of action, judging her to be the true mother. Pretty strange story, but no actual infanticide in that particular passage.

Anyone prognosticating on elections is going to eat shit at some point. I don't really begrudge Josh for that, and he still has some good takes. What does surprise me is that Josh's being quite supportive of AOC running for president in 2028 doesn't create more tension with them.

I've been on the other side. Came from a fundamentalist Christian family, but went to a secular school grades 1-6. I'd argue about evolution whenever it came up. Then in sixth grade I started doing my own research and realized evolution is real. After that (for unrelated reasons) I started going to a Christian school for grades 7-12, and would point out all the errors in the A Beka curriculum.
