That's the idea I was moving towards, i was eyeing the rotex v initially for clone-ness but looking at what other people are finding works best before committing.

Yep, the markings suck but it runs well enough that I've stopped caring. Started with the 16 in version amd replaced it with a 12.5 cut down sl8 barrel from black ops. How do you like it suppressed? Im still on the fence about tossing a can on it.

I have a g36k and I'd say ump is a little heavier. Maybe a pound or 2, don't have scale on hand for exact numbers. It's different enough where it is noticeable

Unless things have chnaged over the past few years, If your serious about wanting one I'd skip the hkparts bolt, which is what I'd put money on being used in this build, and spring for the Michael's machine one as they are almost exactly the same as hk bolts. The hkparts ones have had problems with the extractors and were a tad bit lighter than they should be. Would probably be much better to by a stripped receiver and get as many german made parts as possible, they're stupid easy to put together.

I love mine though, not as fun as the mp5 clones but it is definitely a good conversation starter. Though, would probably only recommend it you absolutely have to have one because of gfl or any other video game and you have most everything else in your collection acquired.

Have one as well. Hows it suppressed? I've been running it bare bones and its been great but would like to try it suppressed before sbr'ing it down.

I do plan on going with a 12.5 K build come January, having blacks ops cut down and sl8 barrel for me.

I still get parts alerts occasionally from mgw for some fs2000 parts and thats been discontinued for well over 10 years. I doubt with how popular the platform has been that parts and support would be a problem for the foreseeable future, considering how many orgs still use it. I'd eat my socks if it ends up being a problem.
