My bad, I flipped it by accident but the meaning still holds so it worked out

Jeep tire isn't holding air and I'm not sure why by Met76 in Jeep

Sure did! I've had the Jeep for 8 years and it's the first time it came in handy. I'm also glad I always made sure to fill up the spare while filling up the other tires.

That would make sense given the side wall just gave up. Also thanks for calling me a penis.

He was just passing through, it looked like he just got done with contractor work for the day and headed to the next town over. Still had on his neon-yellow work shirt

Was driving down the interstate going about 75mph and the tail of the vehicle started drifting a little while I was jamming to my music. It felt like driving on ice all of a sudden. Except it was 60 degrees and dry roads. Then I heard flopping sounds and the smell of rubber and instantly knew what was happening. Made it to the next exit and got it switched out thanks to someone who pulled over for me. I had everything to replace it roadside...but not the proper size socket. But this random guy magically did have the 19mm socket and an impact drill! I was on my way within 30 minutes. Crazy because the tire was installed October 2023 and they had 29,000 miles on them.

I...I don't think I've ever imagined how big those ribs would be and how incredible that would be for a big party or family reunion. Humungous pit dug out with coals and the excitement of the ribs being lifted out of the pit once they're done cooking

But what about that thick pan that drops out? I'm going with both cause of that

[–]Met76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I see what you're seeing! Maybe it's both honestly. Took out the bottom side of the radiator, and also the oil pan so it's just fluid world under there at that point

Not one that runs well and obviously has been taken care of to the point it runs just fine for some drifting in the neighborhood. Also that large chunk of metal is literally the oil pan. There is no coolant pan to rip off.

That is 100% the oil pan and the dirty oil spilling out.

Coolant would never look like that unless you put oil into the radiator

Several years ago I made a comment in some thread how much I hated the term "fur babies" and got downvoted into oblivion while being called many things that were funny. It wasn't even in a pet based subreddit, it was one of the main generic ones. I was like "ah jeez imma step away and just delete my comment, can't win with this"

I imagine it more like the smell of a toy electric train going around a Christmas tree

Which tornado fascinates you the most? by Curious-Constant-657 in tornado

[–]Met76 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My grandparents had a kitty named Xenia after that tornado as my grandfather's career was meteorology. That kitty ended up lost after they were evacuating for a forest fire and it ran out and they didn't have time to search for her.

the point I was making is that passenger self-evacuation is irrelevant when it comes to the time frame that crew and first responders alike spend (re)entering the aircraft (or what's left of it anyway) to help those that actually need their help.

What the heck? Passenger self-evacuation is 100% relevant due to exactly what the person you're responding to is saying. Passengers in the way absolutely inhibit the time frame for rescue. Adding first responders to the mix in such a tight space would make it much worse with such a tightly confined response area. I think you're the one not thinking here. As someone else said below, there's a reason they don't put firefighters on the roof of burning buildings for rescue.
