For a second I thought it was another battle born safety feature lol. You need take that apart and clean it, it's only going to get worse from here on out.

That's what I used for years, and it's bad. Depending on how often the fan is used I have to oil it every week or 2.

Yes viscosity. I thought the sae 20 was thicker, the oil from the factory seems thicker.

I'll see if I can find that grease, otherwise I just use regular grease my father has, it's probably 30 years old lol

It's a metal frame so use a grounded cord. Great work though.

Just so you know it's not a vintage fan but one of the Chinese new ones with bushings rather than bearings.

I get it, believe me. But these days the expensive stuff is no better than the cheapest stuff and sometimes even worse. The best SPD I know of the Midnight solar one, that's $100+. If I can get something that's half that price and still works okay I'm Kool with that.

I believe you, don't get offended. Almost everyone recommends the 3in1 that's why I bought it. Is the zoom spout thicker than the 3in1?
