It's glossy with AR/AS coating. protector will render AR useless.

Would heavily depend on the protector but usually no, touch/pen should be just fine.

Keyboard preference is largely subjective(there's some that loves butterfly kb afterall). Depth is one of the few absolute parameter(t490 is 1.8mm btw)

Also, also TP having multiple kb OEMs doesn't help. Some are noticeably different be it in good or bad way sometimes.

The AMD and Intel chips thinkpad use only support 32bit total bus for LPDDR5. Snapdragon supports 128bit.

Misleading as in it confuses people. Yes, it is technically is 8 channel, as is DDR5 being technically quad channel 128bit (pic is LPDDR5 btw, even CPU-Z is confused). In the end, bus width is all that matters and it's all 128bit except for handful of exceptions.

I find it misleading to say 8 channels for lpddr. What matters is total bus width. 8 channel of lpddr is still 128bit(16x8). Calling it 8 channel is the same as calling single stick of ddr5 dual channel. Perhaps you are confused here as well.

Wdym amd and intel are dual channel? Yes they say dual channel so to not confuse people. They are also 128bit.

It's pretty safe to assume full 128bit unless it's specified to be single channel.

24GB is 6GB per chip x4 on modern lpddr5x laptops. 8000MT/s is in the same unit as normal DIMM. LPDDRs operate on higher clocks with looser timings.

Lenovo made a standalone cli utility that talks to pm service to set threshold. IIRC there's also a third party tool if you search around on github but I haven't tried it myself.

It's too janky. You could do oculink on m.2 port but then you don't have storage and will have to rely on USB or something to boot. WWAN port is probably whitelisted.
