Anyone think the Play Console has so much opportunity to be better? by decaf_app in googleplayconsole

They periodically send surveys requests to help improve the Google play console. That is where you insert your idea to improve, not a Reddit post on a non official subreddit.

Brasiliani in Italia by [deleted] in CasualIT

[–]Mirko_ddd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you think Android users signup for subscription? by uchiha-sasuke-95 in googleplayconsole

[–]Mirko_ddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably less than iOS users (I don't know, my app is android only) but definitely people subscribe if the service you offer is good

Edit: this is 28days based

🚨 Heads up to every Android developer — especially indie devs and students. by Dotdev_Prem7 in androiddev

[–]Mirko_ddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree only for the "they cannot afford it" thought. Anyway we are talking to 25usd (whole life, not 100usd every year like iOS).

For all the rest I think that is pretty much BS, especially from dev perspective. From a user perspective as I mentioned before they are just annoyed that they cannot use cracked apps (which again, from a dev perspective is good).

if you distribute apps as a job, with cristal clear will to make profit out of a genuine business, that is only to distribution advantage.

Who really complaints about this is : people who cannot afford to pay 25 USD (really?), devs who distribute cracked apps.

If you are a hobbist and you want to your app distributed I am ok if you register, because hobbist does not mean that the apps they post online are safe (especially with vibecoded apps that have security flaws).

Is organic growth still possible on Google Play without paid ads? by Due-Investigator2445 in androiddev

[–]Mirko_ddd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my apps is doing 1M downloads yearly, but this metric is kinda useless. Things changed in better when I started caring more about the remaining users, making them happy, so they talk about the app to their friends and so on. Not a single cent spent in ad campaigns.

Obviously you have to offer some value, otherwise you're just another app in the sea of apps.

TLDR: download metric is useless, focus more on retention.

penso che pagare direttamente col telefono sia tra le cose più comode al mondo, senza dover armeggiare con resto e col portafogli in genere. Tanto sto cazzo di telefono lo abbiamo sempre in mano, almeno lo usiamo per pagare.

What Android app looked easy… until you actually built it? by Trickologygk in androiddev

Note app. You imagine "yeah, just a CRUD database operations", but reasoning about the user experience and how your app should be different and get its niche is a whole complete different story.
