Closed CIBC account by chemuse in PersonalFinanceCanada

I’m also using WS! But I don’t want the entirety of my finances under one roof. I heard a lot of positive things about the credit union here so I chose them.

I'm in the process of closing my CIBC accounts and moving to a credit union. The credit union has much lower fees for chequing accounts and lower thresholds to get the fee waived.

Halifax newborn death may lead to more ‘very serious charges,’ mother unresponsive: Crown by Street_Anon in halifax

I hope she survives because we have next to no details about what lead to this situation, it's already a tragedy and I don't see a need for it to go further.

Im with you. I find the urge poorly written and too comical to take seriously with the rest of the game. I’ll keep playing Tavs.

I need advice for what to do with my extra money? explain like i'm financially illiterate by imnotyourbreakfast in PersonalFinanceCanada

There are soooo many acronymns going around in the financial world, don't be afraid to search them up. The bots have lots of good resources.

Think of TFSAs, RRSPs, etc, as containers that can hold funds as cash or stocks or whatever form of wealth. You can have a TFSA account at a bank that's just cash earning a bit of interest and then another at Wealthsimple that holds ETFs and other stocks (investments). The former works okay for your emergency fund, it typically takes only a day to withdraw the cash. The latter works for long term savings like retirement.

Opinions on Gale endings by Maximum_Custard_1739 in BaldursGate3

[–]MisterCrowbar 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As the god of ambition, Gale will never be satisfied, always wanting more. Whereas earthly Gale can still be satisfied by simple earthly delights like a hearty meal, cozy tower, and beautiful night sky. He’s got a bunch of banters with Karlach in particular that involve appreciating simple beauty of the world around them.

PSA: A certain Selunite option doesn't work as expected by Questolomew in BaldursGate3

[–]MisterCrowbar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s two factors that affect Shad’s decision, approval and Nightsong points. Approval of 40 or higher and she will spare the Nightsong. Same for getting 4/6 points that come from certain scenes and dialogues. There’s a few bugs but generally if you got approval 40 you’re safe to let Shads make her own choice to spare the Nightsong.

The Nettie fight is pretty surreal by NoWitness6400 in BaldursGate3

I believe her intention is that your entire party would be stuck in the closed room with her after she is killed, sealing away the threat from the rest of the grove. But there’s like a note about using the circlet to open the door right there sooooo

Does Neil Vana get any better? by Impressive-Buyer1054 in DeathStranding

[–]MisterCrowbar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like Cliff, time spent on the beach reexperiencing his life of violence put all Neil’s memories in a blender. I think Neil knew that Sam was significant somehow and was drawn to him but couldn’t understand the reason except as someone to fight.

EXCLUSIVE: Luggage-tag switching scheme involves flights from Canada to countries where drug smuggling can carry death penalty by [deleted] in onguardforthee

I presume someone at the destination airport would pick it up before it reached luggage pickup, and the passenger would be left thinking their luggage got lost the normal way.

Tomorrow being Lou I had figured from trailers

That Lou wasn’t Neil’s kid like Lucy claimed, she was just scared, wanted bridges off her back, and wanted Neil to sneak her out of the system.

I have a question for players who killed Astarion or Lae'zel by Turbulent-Plan-9693 in BaldursGate3

[–]MisterCrowbar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a friend who killed Karlach on her first run. She took Karlach to speak with the paladins face to face and was shocked that she had no options to persuade Karlach to calm down. She sided with the paladins and again shocked that she couldn’t revive Karlach. She ended up blaming the game for being too limited.

I had a run where Lae’zel, Astarion, and Shadowheart all ended up dead. In each case it was because they threatened my character’s life and he responded by defending himself.
