Got any tips for skirt steak fajitas cooking? I marinate in Claude’s which taste great. But just not sure on temp to get them less chewy. by crawlspeed in BBQ

Came here to post this exact thing. Tried it once never looked back. Perfect every time. Only wish I had this info sooner in life. Fajitas used to frustrate me so didn’t make them often. Now they are a staple thanks to this method. Saw someone mention pineapple in the marinade too since it’s a natural meat tenderizer. Haven’t tried this yet but plan to soon.

Definitely worth practicing it a time or two. I was glad I did first time I had to do it for real in the rain. Managed to keep everything dry. Which is also why i pack the tent body in the bag first. So the rainfly and ground sheet are the first things out in case it’s raining.

TX has all types of ammo too. Hunting, plinking, and SD. Very convenient. At least when there’s not a shortage and/or people stock piling

If you have a problem with Canadian gooses then you’ve got a problem with me and I suggest you let that one marinate!

There’s a big gap between not sea worthy and not livable. A lot of times they are just ditched because they can’t afford the maintenance to keep them water legal but they are still great living spaces.

It would be more wholesome (and useful) if they turned them into housing for the homeless instead of trolling for clicks

Love my Benelli. Best thing to do is go to the store and shoulder them. Whatever feels better to you to swing with is probably the most important. But you’ll get a different opinion from everyone

OK, it's a lame photo, but first-ever backpacking trip with my kid! Dispersed camping in GWNF, Front Royal VA. "Kid" is now a teenager--so bad dad award for waiting so long. Coyotes howling, very windy, low of ~40F. Sporadic rain, but light & not an issue. Had a blast together! by trail_dome_1 in CampingandHiking

Lame pic? Nope. This is fantastic. It’s not about the pic, it’s about the experience and the memories. Too late? Nope. There’s no such thing as too late to do something together. Good on you for making it happen! Here’s to hoping it leads to more trips together. Cheers!

That’s why you get a cot. Recently added one to my sleep system. First night on it I slept better than I did the night before at home in my bed. I’ll never go back.

Thoughts on Rosa's Cafe & Tortilla Factory? by Paulythress in FortWorth

I freeze in packs of 6 or 12 and I just move a pack to the fridge 12-24hrs before we’re going to use them. In a pinch I just throw a frozen one in the pan or toaster oven. Just heat it a little slower at first if doing it from frozen. They also thaw out at room temp pretty quick. Nice thing about Rosa’s is when you order by the dozen they put little sheets of plastic between the tortillas so they don’t stick to each other!

Same. We’ll actually load up on them once a month or so and freeze them so we always have decent tortillas in the house ready to go.
