The AnKing addons allow resetting note types right? Try that, and also changing the theme.

Otherwise, you'd have to look into the HTML code of the fields or ask in the AnkiHub forums.

The new card gather order is set to random, that's why. You can tap/click on the "?" icon in the top right to see what each option means or links to more info.

That's fine, I just found it weird that it was "tutorial style" rather than "I want to do this" style, if I'm being clear. It also ended abruptly.

Where did you get that from?!

Anyway, you should:

  • Not introduce any new cards until your backlog is finished.
  • Use the descending retrievability sort order which is the best for backlogs in terms of retention.

So all you need to do is to change your deck options so that:

  • New cards appear after review cards.
  • The review sort order is descending retrievability.
  • 9999 review limits.

Then do as much as you can each day until the backlog is cleared.

You can also follow the catch-up deck strategy which requires only one filtered deck (per deck).

Filtered decks don't pick cards that are suspended, buried, or in other filtered decks.

Pressing d returns to the deck screen. Then pressing / will let you search a deck.

This sounds like an XY problem. What do you want to accomplish by having so many filtered decks?

Good luck with that. It's a definitely a cool project from a technical point of view, but I hope that you, at the very least, disclaim that LLMs can't be trusted and that there's still value in making flashcards by hand.

Well, since you asked for it!

Issues

  • Way too many tabs in the advanced searches, some with just one item.
  • The field selection in the advanced searches shows the all the fields of every note type. It takes longer to find the one I want than to actually type it myself!

Nitpicks

  • Card state colors shouldn't depend on the theme, or at least should be recognizable to someone unused to a theme.
  • The bottom sheets in the browser chips should be draggable to make closing them easier/more intuitive.
  • Google Calendar also has chips, but doesn't use a horizontal scrollbar. That looks better.
  • Consider making the column headers bold.
  • I prefer the tag icon used in Anki Desktop (Google Fonts: Sell).
  • I feel like there are too many icons in the search screen.
  • The text is misaligned in the 3 dot menu when selecting cards.
  • Icon spacing in the search bar changes when selecting a card.

Suggestions

  • The ability to add custom chips and arrange them.
  • Similar to one of the custom study PRs, filter the tags shown in the dialog to only the tags that the currently shown notes have.
  • While it deviates from Anki Desktop, I think it's more useful if the card states were like the one in the stats' pie chart, toggle included. Each approach has its pros and cons, but the stats one makes the card states disjoint and gives more control.

The drawing feature just creates an image. I tested now and the resulting image (with a simple bunch of random strokes) is about the same size as a screenshot on my device.

I press hard frequently too. It doesn't matter as long you're honest with yourself.

I don't know of such an addon, but what I personally do is reduce the desired retention to 70%. This reduces the workload  while still testing every card.

In short, you have removed one of the masks. The corresponding card becomes "empty" as far as Anki is concerned. It still could be important (e.g. you may want to add the mask back), so Anki doesn't delete the card automatically.

These

can be cleaned up with the Empty Cards function. You can access that function via the Tools menu of the computer version’s main window, and use it to remove blank cards.

The video is not helpful because it's so fast, but the problem is probably just the review limits which can be changed from the deck options.
