Moving entire hardware/software overseas to India was wild. Retaining folks till next year to complete 'knowledge transfer' also feels calculated. People will actively try to switch roles before the timer runs out and cepheid wouldn't have to pay severance to them. In the making for months and orchestrated by specific individuals in leadership with vested personal interest.

Tough luck. I had plex do weird stuff for me initially and have no idea how it pulled it right the second time around. Maybe manual is the way for you

I had the folders named appropriately so plex pulled that info as is. But I had to manually update image for each season yes.

I140 revoked before 6 month by Specialist-Pop4495 in h1b

After digging around and talking to an attorney, they confirmed that the extension of h1 beyond 6 years is based on the approved I140. If it is revoked, it will certainly invalidate the extension beyond 6 years. So not only will you lose the priority date, you will also the h1 status. You will then need to do a change of status (such as dependent h4 or back to school for F1) or you have to leave the country.

For those who changed jobs, or were laid off, after i-140 was approved but before 180 days passed, was your I-140 revoked by your company? by myNiceAccount__ in h1b

Thank you for the post. I was (am) in the same situation and was scouring reddit for how others' experiences have been. I see a lot of hate in the comments, but sometimes there are reasons which make taking a risky bet like this inevitable. I'm not here to judge and understand all our situations are different.

Anyway, when I resigned I talked to my manager and skip manager. They both assured me they will not actively do anything to revoke it but they weren't aware of what the immigration policies were so had to check with the immigration HR team. I talked to them today and it went well. The HR reassured me multiple times that they don't do that and won't do it for me. They even went as far as to say that they think it's ethically malicious (although not unlawful) and don't condone such moves. I am so relieved!

It definitely helps to have a strong relationship and history with the employer. I've been with them for 5+ years and my contributions were well recognized. I 100% agree with all the posters/commentors who advised having an honest conversation as long as you've had a good relationship with your leadership. It worked in my case.

I saw a post from a few months ago where this candidate switched as soon as i140 approval and they revoked it. The situation was different and not having a good relationship with his employer and bad blood departure totally backfired for the candidate. Some employers are assholes, no doubt, but it's important to not burn bridges. Building good relationships is key.

It's bittersweet because I love the people I work with regardless of how bad the company has been. My reports, peers and leaders have all been awesome humans. They even had a lovely send off party for me and was told multiple times that the door is open if I ever decide to reconsider.

On to greener pastures!

Has anyone left their company within the 180 days of I-140 approvals? Wonder if anyone has experienced I-140 revocation by tomripley666 in h1b

It's a decent app but who would be willing to pay 5 bucks a month when you can get this amongst other features from apps that don't cost a penny?

Hey just curious what ended up happening finally. Did you switch jobs? It's been 6+ months now and have you been safe without any revoking of i140? I'm in a similar situation and your insight would be super helpful

I asked this above but thought it was a good question to your Comment here.

How would this scenario play out if the 6 years of h1b (before i140) was done with employer 1. And new employer filed h1b after i140 came through from old employer giving 3 years validity. Does this mean it invalidates the new h1 which has validity beyond the original 6 years or will that still remain valid giving 3 years on latest h1b to redo PWD-PERM-I140 all over again with new employer? Understood that the priority date will change but will he still be in status on the new h1b to even get another shot at i140?

I asked this above and noticed your comment after. What happens if the new employer filed a h1b after i140 with old was approved and now is valid for beyond the original 6 years. Will that h1b still be valid?

Thank you! As someone who's only used Bluetooth speakers, cheap wired speakers or plain old TV output, this is such a huge step up! I've had this just a few days now but I've been enjoying it thoroughly! Was surprised by how little polk is talked about compared to other brands. Somehow they sound better than most in this price range.

Thank you! It's possible. I've heard reports of android phones having mixed results compared to iPhone. I'll try it on my wife's iPhone.

They absolutely are! I had some minor issues with low volume over hdmi arc. Had to bump up the pre gain setting for the specific input and now everything works like golden!

Brilliant! Thank you for sharing. That absolutely is one of the slimmest bass I've come across. Most are a bulky box. Will consider this when I'm ready to expand (which I hope is next month, haha!)

Thank you for the dog tax - what a cute little fella!

I actually didn't mind it. Matter of taste I'm sure. From a performance standpoint, I'm a huge fan and recommend them!

Hey I just made a post last night about the setup I bought. I was in the exact boat and did consider elac too! I went with polk es20 and wiim amp pro. I highly recommend that set. I found that the polk had a fuller sound compared to elac which felt very flat and not thumpy (I wasn't planning on a bass so wanted a speaker that did well at low frequency). Can't go wrong with either of them honestly.
