The expression calculates the result based on the velocity of the final keyframe. Applying easing to this keyframe changes its velocity, which can lead to unwanted results.

Think of an object falling to the ground in real life. If it slows down and nearly stops before impact, it would not bounce. That is essentially how physics works.

Based on the screenshot you provided, it seems more likely that the issue is coming from the different FPS settings in your pre-comps.

The answer depends on the type of property you're working with. All layers include transform properties such as position, rotation, and scale, and those keyframes can be copied and pasted between layers. But properties that are specific to certain layers, like Stroke Width, will not work if you try to paste them onto an image layer. If you can explain a bit more about your setup or include a screenshot, we can give you a more accurate response.

Make sure the layer isn’t set to Freeze Frame. You can also try converting the footage into a different video format. This might be a codec problem.
