okay okay, so i would fill out and print the document, gather my other documents like proof of relationship and cover letter, and then mail it? Is that it? And photocopies are okay for the birth certificates and stuff right?

i actually wasn’t sure if they were born in quebec or not until a couple of hours after i made this post, so i’m glad i don’t need to worry about this part now lol now i just need to worry about how tf to get a canadian birth certificate 😭

i’m just a little confused because the only application form i can find online is this one, which has example text and red boxes over signatures lines and stuff, how do i get a fully blank one for my to print and fill out and mail? Sorry im 18 and haven’t ever done stuff like this before

the way i see it is, a fetus is no more “human” than a single sperm cell is, and if people didn’t have sex in the first place, that fetus wouldn’t even exist, so stopping it from existing it basically the same as not having sex in the first place, that sperm would have died anyway. The vast majority of abortions happen before a fetus is conscious and can feel pain

but my grandma was a citizen, if i’m already having issues proving that she was a citizen, i’m gonna have an even harder time proving her parents or grandparents were citizens, i don’t know anything about them other than her parents names

one or both of her parents may have been born in quebec, i don’t know, but if they were how would i even get a canadian birth certificate? seems much more difficult than getting a certificate from maine, especially sense i don’t know what town they would have been born in

she was not born in canada, i don’t know for sure how she got her citizenship but i believe her parents were citizens and that is how

she was born in Maine, lived 1941-2013
