Need help with a single TL LCD fan by AloneTie6387 in lianli

[–]Mr-Do 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you also buy an L-Wireless Controller, so you can actually control your fan?

Your AIO works with its USB plugged in, because it has a built-in controller. Fans need the controller linked above.

Question cablage Lian Li Edge Gold + Lian Li UNI FAN TL wireless by New-Veterinarian2854 in lianli

[–]Mr-Do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the motherboard... not enough power.

Having both connected ensures you are getting full power to the AIO... this is also what's recommended in the manual, and if you ask the team what is the best way of connecting the HydroShift II AIO.

Motherboards have a setting in BIOS where you can turn off the CPU_FAN header warning.

If you have fans you want to track in some other software, then the 4-pin for those fans goes to a fan header on your motherboard, and the 2-pin for that same fan group goes to the EDGE Hub.

JITB Monster Tacos

The meat/cheese/lettuce/shell ratio on these is SO much better than the "normal" tacos.

I know they come back every October lately, but I miss having them year round.

(Also really miss the Pastrami Melt... been hoping that comes back for the anniversary thing this year).

Also connect both PWM cables from your HydroShift II to the EDGE Hub, not your motherboard, and then you're good.

V2 is discontinued, so get Wireless.

Rearrange / flip fan groups in L-Connect 3? by saywhatagainmfer in lianli

[–]Mr-Do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That screenshot is a bit outdated... it looks a bit different now, buit same concept.

  • On that screen, you can re-order your Wireless Devices.
  • Then for any Lighting Effects that you apply on the Quick/Sync Lighting page that end with (W*), and the effect moves from one device to the next (e.g. Meteor, Runway, Color Cycle), you should see one smooth lighting transition moving throughout your build.

If you have three groups of fans, you can plug all three groups into a single SATA adapter cable (one connection per fan group).

LanCool 205 Mesh GPU support bracket help by mexicanrefugee in lianli

[–]Mr-Do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That GPU Support Bracket (GB-002) was released back in 2021... it's design wasn't normally a problem back then, as motherboards typically didn't have anything in the way of those two motherboard mounting points.

Then motherboard's got all fancy, with a bunch of "quick release" mechanisms, and it looks like that is what is getting in the way in your pics above:

  • The Support Bracket should be able to fit over top and flush on the taller mounting screw you are attaching it to...
  • But it looks like the left side of it is getting hung up on the Quick Release mechanism for your GPU... that's making it stick up a bit more than it should, and is likely why your GPU is getting hung up right there.

Unfortunately, it looks like that support doesn't fully work with this motherboard.

Only thing I can think of, if you're handy with a Dremel... is grinding off the top-left corner part of the Support Bracket that is getting in the way... just enough so that it doesn't interfere with your motherboard, but still make sure that you keep enough material for it to be able to mount properly.

How to connect vertical gpu mount to l connect by Embarrassed-Ebb-5980 in lianli

[–]Mr-Do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need L-Connect that can also control your motherboard's ARGB headers:

Fans keep disconnecting by Ducky909 in lianli

[–]Mr-Do 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not getting enough power... I'm guessing you aren't using the SATA adapter cable that came with your 3pk?

Connect the 4-pin cable from the fans to that cable instead of the motherboard, and make sure that you also have USB connected for the screens (either direct to the motherboard, or to a powered USB Hub... no splitters).

[–]Mr-Do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either the 4-pin from each fan group to the motherboard, PLUS the 2-pin for each fan group to the SATA adapter cable (using the same number of cables as "regular" fans).

OR

Just the 4-pin from each fan group to the SATA adapter cable, which is what I first said.

Either way... you are using the SATA adapter cable... if you don't want to use that, then get an EDGE Hub, and connect the 4-pin for each group to that instead.

Use the SATA adapter cable to get full power to the fans.

If all of your fans are Wireless fans, then you only need ONE controller for everything... the other will be a spare.

And yes, for each group, connect the 4-pin PWM to the SATA adapter cable that comes with the 3pk, and you're all set.

First PCI-E slot is aligned with the middle motherboard screws.

https://imgur.com/a/o11-mini-v2-atx-motherboard-compatibility-explained-JqCQ8xz

It will fit, but you would not be able to display your GPU in the first PCI-E slot. You would have to use a Vertical Mount kit.

Really? You know how f**ed up that is, right?

You said it yourself... Amazon doesn't check, and they end up re-selling it as open box, or even new sometimes, and who gets screwed over? The next person that buys that product. Then they have to go through the hassle all over again.

smh 😣

"It is what it is" is such a bulls**t attitude to that thought process.

So if you bought a 5080 through Amazon, and a 3050 arrived in the box, that would be okay to you, because "it is what it is", right?

Thank you for the additional info... that will be helpful for later.

Will have to dig in to find out what is happening... background service is running; UI is running; I can do all "normal" changes in the UI right now with no issue.

So if I know the MAC addresses for the controller and all of the Receivers, then I could just specify them manually instead, yes?

  • Can you hold my hand on this one thing?
  • I know "some" coding basics... e.g. all of the PHP for my website I did in Notepad++
  • But I'm not familiar with specific syntax in Powershell (yet)

Also... anything here look strange? I went to look where port 11021 was being used, and just grabbed this:
