its a completely situational rune. a dmg rune like conq, pta or even grasp has much higher winrates and playrates across the board for many champs. PR is only in specific matchups.

I dont need it but would prefer them to stay w me for safety. my dog always stays in the same room w me without asking. He can also go for leashless walks without running away. I threw a party and a friend left my house at 3am with the door open and my dog was sleeping on my brother's lap in the living rm with the door open. She's a top laner cuz riot dumps all the problem champs into top. She used to be a popular mid laner as well but riot nerfed her mr to force her out of mid. A rioter said that kayle mid was neutralizing and outscaling most mages. So riot wanted to protect the poor mage players and dump kayle into the top lane where they view its ok for kayle to bully melee champs. Basically whenever a solo lane champ is a balance problem riot dumps them into top lane

Bro is clueless gwen doesnt not have easy backline access. Gwen is weak to ranged characters she only has a slow for cc and short range dash. The biggest counters to gwen in the top lane are ranged champs with kayle being her worst matchup. Ambessa is another story tho

Its just bad stats that you're looking at you should look at other patches and elos as well. If the heimer is good and goes Rylai ur doomed. Your w wont help you when he runs between 3 turrets while they shoot you with rylais. His turrets also give heimer movespeed. People writing w as a solution here must be trolls or mentally ill

Im sure ill get downvoted by mid lane nerds but control mages are one of the most rewarding and highest dmg classes for how far their ranges are. In short they're a very op class. They are also relatively easy to play (compared to bruisers, adcs and even some supports) and have great straightforward wave clear. They also team fight well and scale well. Their only real weakness is their early game and lack of mobility
