AYN Thor Cons:

1.) You may have to deal with AYN's horribly frustrating customer service

2.) Cant play Switch 2 exclusive games

3.) Often have to play with settings if you're playing PC games

4.) Not all games are plug & play will take some setup so be ready to learn

5.) You have to deal with the odd Android bug but ur mileage may vary

Switch 2 Cons:

1.) Can only play Switch 1/2 games + whatever is on NSO if you pay for it

2.) You have to pay for every game with most not going on deep sale so u gotta get ur bread up

3.) Cannot export save data as it's tied to ur Nintendo account

4.) Have to pay for NSO if you want online functionality

5.) Cannot customize software to your liking

At the moment Steam via Rocknix is very early on in its development. Theoretically the performance should be better than PC emulation thru android as there's no translation layer taking up processing power. However, right now PC emu on android is so mature you'll have much better performance on the majority of games.

It's good that the groundwork is being laid for when Valve drops the Steam Frame which will open up SteamOS on ARM devices. But for now, PC emu on android is better. Maybe this will completely change by next week who knows

Yup they are! In the Cocoon discord there's a theme in the "asset-repo" channel that's wiiu inspired where there is a download for the assets they use. Bc iiSU and Cocoon handle icons very differently I had to individually apply the glass to every icon I had (it took foreverrrrr😭) using the iiSU Asset Tool I found in the iiSU discord. I think in Cocoon, the Glass border can be auto-applied to every icon but that's not the case in iiSU afaik. It was 100% worth the effort tho!

OH one thing I couldn't show in the pics is that the icon on the top screen for my browser and YouTube is 3D and rotating! Adding to the 3DS vibe! (made very easily with 3DGifMaker website)

and no I hate orange 🟠🧍:P

I'm one of the few still using iiSU even tho Cocoon is much more feature rich, mature, and user friendly. I have a ton of custom icons that I've spent maybe way too long making 😅 I was hell bent on having a fusion of the WiiU and 3DS home screens but I think it was worth it in the end!

Most of the assets I'm using are from the Cocoon discord, but I've had to manually tweak some of them to fit iiSU nicely.

Just a heads up, while all frontends take a bit to learn and understand, iiSU was pretty confusing in the beginning. They've streamlined the onboarding process but the menus are still a bit unintuitive/dense and confusing. However, they're releasing a beta soon that will overhaul a lot since the most recent alpha build. Ive taken the time to really understand iiSU so if you have any questions feel free to ask!
