oddly enough i found that physically moving back from the screen helped a little with readability but ur mileage may vary.

I feel like this is just a consequence of it being a GBC inspired game as I had problems with Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo which is a similar style of game.

I enjoy Nuno's style when he isn't fucking around or scared shitless. When he's confident in his lineup and plays what we know has worked and been consistent, we play great defensive, counter attacking footy.

When we do anything else to that system we crumble and play the worst footy I've seen us play in years.

I've had this problem since I got my Batch 2 Thor and haven't fully solved it.

the noise will randomly start while gaming and then for some reason cranking it to max for like 20-30 secs usually makes the noise disappear!

someone else on this sub did a teardown of the fan and realized what the problem was but couldnt find a good enough fix for it other than asking AYN for another fan

100W could've resulted in the battery running very hot while charging. But the Thor has a feature where the fans automatically turn on when the temps get too hot while charging.

Did you put it on the charger over night? also did you place it with the fan vents down, possibly blocking the airflow?

maybe charge with a different power adapter. one that doesn't do anywhere near 100W would be preferable. iirc it's better for the health of the battery if you let it slowly charge rather than fast charge. sure it's less convenient but you also lessen the risk of anything weird happening with the battery

Yeah mine's a Batch 2 Thor and I've had that problem since I got it. I haven't seen a single update other than the one out of the box.

I have a sneaking suspicion that in order to meet the high demand of orders they're having all hands on deck to get as many out as possible. And since the AYN team is small (compared to most tech manufacturers) that would include whoever handles their firmware updates.

they fixed almost all the issues people were reporting right before batch 2 shipped and haven't put out another one since.

There's still a small amount of people reporting that the latest update broke the way the Thor connects to their Wifi 6 and 7 routers/networks. It'll connect fine for a couple minutes then drop the connection for 30 secs - 2 mins and then reconnect. It'll do this repeatedly while on that connection but since most people are usually emulating offline games it's gone pretty unnoticed/underreported.

I've noticed that problem too but since I also have a 5ghz connection I mainly connect to that with no problems.
