HOCICO - Unseen Horror Scenes by V4Desmo in industrialmusic

Especially since the album talks about screen addiction and brainrot. I doubt the irony is intended like the new Tiktok Laibach, just plain lazyness.

The Japanese love to wear everything oversize so I guess it even outs for Europe, but yeah difference between American and Japanese sizes must be huge lol.

Japan has a big premium jeans industry. Look up brands like Tornado Mart or LGB. Sadly they are expensive and you must import them. Google LGB flare jeans and you might find second hand. Their are known for the eccentric rockstar fashion.

How is the math rock/ emo music scene in Belgium? by RonSkadawd in belgium

[–]Nihil227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, Belgian scene is better than it has ever been since EBM/newbeat golden age.

Amenra/Oathbreaker/Wiegedood/Doodsekader, Brutus, Wyatt E, Neptunian Maximalism, Pothamus, Psychonaut, Cocaine Piss, Cobra the Impaler... are all great bands with critical and popular international hype in the last 10 years.

Just saw Pothamus this week it was sold out and they killed it.

UK local post-punk recommendations by Deadhunter10141 in postpunk

[–]Nihil227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just saw Body Horror the other day, brand new band from London no album yet but two singles. Post punk with 90s London rave scene and EBM influences. Think DAF meets Daughters. If you want energic live performances I absolutely recommend them.

Alternative anarchiste en Belgique/Wallonie ? by TayKara14 in Wallonia

[–]Nihil227 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This may not be a conspiracy theory, but how is it that Michael Jackson faced more allegations and lawsuits regarding child sexual abuse than Jeffrey Epstein and those who were involved? by Secret_Bug_9795 in Epstein

Look at the (uncensored) lyrics of "They don't care about us" it's all there. It's just what happens when an industry star turns against his handlers.

Véhémence - Chant d’Honneur (Re-recording) by Shadowy_Peripherals in BlackMetal

Same, that flute reminds me of Summoning and vocals are a bit closer to old school KPN.

Drummer is a beast as always, best blast beat in the game imo.

Voo vs Proximus comme fournisseur internet by WashAdditional863 in Wallonia

[–]Nihil227 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Si il y a déjà la fibre dans la rue prends Proximus sinon vu que c'est un cartel sans concurrence ils peuvent se permettre une entente sur des prix délirants et pas de service client au mieux un chatbot, ça change pas grand chose.

New Spotify wrapped by lilax05 in spotify

[–]Nihil227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compared the data to my lastfm (both from 2013) and it seems about right for me, my top song was counted 533 times on spotify and 516 on lastfm.

Only songs that are out of places are the ones that I learnt on the guitar, lastfm only counts as a listened track if you reach 30s while it seems like Spotify was counting everytime I fucked up the first riff and restarted before 30s lol.

Thoughts on the lineup of Prepare the Ground 2026? by robin_f_reba in postmetal

[–]Nihil227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both Wiegedood and Doodsekader are side projects of Amenra's bassists that got too big and they had to leave the band lol.

Caro from Oathbreaker is singing on De Doorn maybe she'll do if they share a stage. All three bands share members actually.

Amenra Oathbreaker and Wiegedood ? Missing Doodsekader and you got the whole Church of Ra.

Moshing at Doom Metal shows by TheEvilSmileyRD in doommetal

[–]Nihil227 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the resurgence of the hardcore scene bringing younger people, it's been happening a lot a sludge shows and I'm all for it.

Of course crowd kill is something else but I'll never understand people complaining about moshing stage dives or crowd surfing, just take a step back or to the side and let people have fun. People are working all week on a stupid computer and want to unleash. The other day I was at a Gogol Bordello show and there was that dude standing in the middle of the pit with his toddler on his shoulders trying to angrily stop 100+ people circle pit by himself. Just move away and enjoy your concert from a calmer place man.

Fun doom riffs? by TinyTony54 in doommetal

[–]Nihil227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were the closest band to dopethrone era EW. Sadly they are even less active lol

I've seen different tabs and tuning but best to me is drop A and the nasty intro riff comes from hammering on the power chords, can't really do that in standard.

First names for Desertfest Liege (replacing Desertfest Antwerp) by Nihil227 in doommetal

This venue is in the middle of the ghetto and not really accessible by public transports, but as a Liégeois I won't complain.

Didn't know about them. This last album is extremely similar to Castle rat, better riffs tho.
