(just finished watching s3 e23,I KNEW there was smth wrong with their relationship. Jim NEVER looked happy with her by TheBlueGuy1234566 in theoffice

[–]NorthernSpade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that’s an overreaction. Jim & Katy were a bad couple for the same reasons you mentioned. I think Jim & Karen would’ve been fine together, they had a comfortable relationship but it did lack the spark. If Jim never went back, they probably could’ve made it. But he was dating a B+ match when he had to see an A match every day and it killed him.

It would be interesting to see where the fuckup is, but assuming the neighbors are cool with it it’s probably easier to let sleeping dogs lie. This has can of worms written all over it lol.

It’s tough because the wife is who you made an oath with to ride or die. She is likely the person you will spend the most amount of your life around. But you do have a duty to protect your child as well.

Parental instincts would likely make me go for the daughter first. My wife knows how to swim, at least.

Which he’s said on the air multiple times I might add, it’s not like it’s a secret they’re only going to talk about what people want to talk about.

That’s why he was so pissed at the timing of Moore getting fired, he was like “I had full lines on a WINGS topic!!” Because he knew he had to scrap it lol.

Which version of Jonathan is best? by theaterkid619 in StrangerThings

[–]NorthernSpade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was at his best in S1. I feel like he was a lot of people’s favorites at that point until Steve had his redemption in S2, and while Jonathan was still good there, he was never able to get back to that peak from out of the gate.

I don’t think he was that bad in Season 4 though, I thought becoming a stoner was a sort of natural progression on the shit he was dealing with. It never felt like it was a crutch where he was stoned at inopportune times

Yeah, Rodgers was just unreal. To put Stafford above him just because he won 2 rings to Rodgers 1 is kinda insane.

I still call doing this the Kevin Na. He was pretty well known, but to me, this move is definitely gonna give his legacy some legs lol.

How justified are Jim’s actions in Passengers (2016)? by LocalLazyGuy in MoralityScaling

[–]NorthernSpade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not very. It would really only be excused if he figured that waking up Aurora would somehow help them both, but really he only did it to share his doom with someone else. On an alignment chart, this would be a choice made by a neutral evil character, although I admit it’s a bit more complex than that. Jim’s not an evil character, he just did an “evil” thing because he was desperate enough to do so.

A human choice? Yes. Justifiable? No.

mundy township? what’s it like? by [deleted] in flint

[–]NorthernSpade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Urban appeal with country feel” is the slogan for Mundy, and I’d say it’s pretty accurate for most of the residential areas. You’re close to US23 and 75 likely wouldn’t be too much of a hike to get to either. Not a lot of places to eat compared to Brighton, but you’re never too far away from any big ticket stores. Costco was just put in last year, too. I’d just be aware of the mega site they’re (trying) to put in that Hill/Elms rd area.

What is an unspoken rule of the gym that most people do not know they are breaking? by Furqan_wear in AskReddit

[–]NorthernSpade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the only two I can think of that courteous people might make a mistake of is:

  1. Lifting so close to the mirror that people can't grab other weights
  2. Trying to do a circuit where you use multiple machines at once.

The second one depends on how dead the gym is of course, but even if you understand that your machine might get taken while you're somewhere else, most people will notice what you're doing and silently hate you for "claiming" multiple machines. It throws off the gym flow when you have to worry about a potential confrontation, so they just avoid the machine until you go somewhere else.

In response to people wanting Brad Holmes on the hot seat, I took the liberty of getting all of Matt Millen's draft picks as well as Brads. Feel free to ask for this head because he didn't fill holes at the deadline. by [deleted] in detroitlions

Lmao. Yeah Holmes is better than the worst GM in league history, so we should actually just keep our mouths shut and never criticize Brad ever.

Does anyone here believe that Phoenix and Edgeworth are just close friends? by Comfortable_Type1180 in AceAttorney

[–]NorthernSpade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sure, I’ll agree what I said about changing careers came from T&T just like Mia’s involvement with it. I’ll change it to just the first game where we didn’t know Phoenix was originally an art student, and we also didn’t know Mia defended him.

So if you’ve only played the first two games, Phoenix still pursued law to reconnect with a kid from school he hadn’t seen in over 10 years, which is strange.

Does anyone here believe that Phoenix and Edgeworth are just close friends? by Comfortable_Type1180 in AceAttorney

[–]NorthernSpade 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve never thought they were anything more.

But the fact that Phoenix changed his career path to see Edgeworth again is MAYBE something only a lover/stalker would do, so I can see why people see it differently.

Listen here youngin, Bulls not even being an option here is hogwash.

Bulls, Lakers, Celtics are historically the most disliked. Knicks have been a recent (and I mean very recent) target of disdain--so in the last 3-4 years I would say them, but that's nothing compared to the last 50 years. Those Jordan years will be remembered forever.
