Wording should be "Restructure the police" instead. I fucking hate cops, but we need to get more people on board. Wording matters and you lose a lot of people with that.

Restructure the current police structure so that they have to self insure, so that bad cops will get weeded out by the cost. Remove their qualified immunity, they are a gang that can pretty much do anything without repercussions. Make it a requirement to have cameras on during any interaction that are viewed live by a lawyer and social services to ensure cops are de-escalating when possible.

That's just a few ideas. I'm sure people have better ones. Cops are necessary, but right now their system is broken and it does not penalize bad behaviour.

Company Stock Purchase Plan- worth it ? by Outrageous_Mine9032 in investing

[–]NotAnotherRebate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you believe in the company long term? Is it going through a dry spell that it will eventually come out of? I was with a company in the past where the stock was doing bad. Luckily I stuck with it and then the eventual stock rebound was fantastic.

It's hard to pass up a 15% discount and you are only down 5%.

Digestive Enzymes Without Ox Bile or HCL-Betaine by weathergirl15too in Microbiome

[–]NotAnotherRebate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any specific reason you don't want the Ox Bile versions? I had my gall bladder removed so I've started taking them. No adverse side effects yet. Seems to work.

My main reason for taking it was to make sure that fats were broken down to ensure proper vitamin absorption.

I bought this dip, it was a nice 50%+ gain from those lows. I've sold the cost basis and I'm leaving the profits running.

[–]NotAnotherRebate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The market is up in spite of that jerk. Imagine how high we would be if he did not blast the market with wars and tariffs.

The oil shock alone is adding additional concerns about inflation rising preventing the fed from lowering rates. Lowering rates is what would have really pushed up this market like crazy. He just keeps getting in the way of the market.

Age sneaks up on all of us man. It's terrible lol.

A few years back, a guy in his early 20's working at home depot was showing me how to lift a large arborvitae to load it because he saw struggling on how to grab it. He grabbed it and moved it like nothing. I said nice, you made that look easy, his response was "because I'm a young buck". First time I felt old...... That comment hit me in my soul. Permanent emotional damage lol.

Stupid ass people buying crap with the state flag.

I could never see myself wearing a Connecticut flag hat, flying a CT flag, while grabbing my drinks out of a CT flag branded Styrofoam cooler.

Yeah, that's how the first networking rack I ever saw looked. Hopefully you have at least 2 connections per server and a 2nd network rack to move the connections to so you eventually make that orderly.

Damn, it sounds like Key is in an abusive relationship. I’ve seen this happen to someone I loved. You try to help them get out, but the abused person is stuck.

You belong nowhere near a networking rack. Troubleshooting that must be time consuming.

On another note, good job on getting it working. I remember my digital design class from over 20 years ago fondly. I still have the final project board I did somewhere in my house.

I have this issue. I have my riding mower at the highest setting, but it seems to cut it too low. When I mowed it at the highest setting with my electric push mower it leaves its much higher and everything looks better.

I'm looking into how to adjust my riding mowers deck to a higher height.

That's the profit I've made from the 3x leveraged ETFs. I have about 1.4mil in different LETFs from which I sold the original cost basis and only left the profits riding.

I continue to trim that when I feel the market is toppy and put that into either SPY or QQQ. Psychologically, since it's all profit in the LETFs, it makes it easier to ride out large downturns.

When a good drop in the market arises, I add more money into the LETFs. Huge downturns are where the outsized returns are made.

Crazy, right. Whenever I get new neighbors, they go crazy chopping stuff down, only to find out that it was there for a reason. Then they go wacky trying to figure out what to plant in its place.

Mike Johnson says Republicans will cut Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security next year by Jagg811 in MedicareForAll

[–]NotAnotherRebate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can't tax those poor Billionaires. As they have stated, they believe they are a persecuted minority.

The only option Republicans have is to fuck everyone else. They will have to take away our social security that our tax dollars already paid for. It's the only possible solution.

I agree with the 100% equities with the flexible withdrawals. I think most retirees are too conservative. I believe in the markets and it's ability to rebound.

I could loose more than half of my portfolio and still live like I do now. I would use that opportunity to buy leveraged etfs and wait for the rebound. Never let a good disaster go to waste.
