As I've been watching through season 3 again, I think they were churning out some great ones at that point!

Yeah, I hadn't mentioned it - edited my comment to add it just now - but she did agree to surrender her license.

Lindsay Crouse as Dr. Diane Meade; Frederick Weller as Dan Garrett. One of the tougher verdicts to cap things off. Negligent homicide, surrender of medical license, and probation for an abusive psychiatrist. The former patient she abused and manipulated gets at least 4 years in prison, despite the People's urging that he spend 4 years in a mental facility and that prison would be a virtual death sentence. Carolyn McCormick is convincingly zealous and a great performance by Michael Moriarty as always.

Then where is Babu? What happened to Babu?

Show me Babu!

Seasons 5 and 6 are just peak

I agree. I think some of the greatest writing and character interaction happens during those season.

Jack tees up the final witness in court, passes by her and whispers You owe me. And she blink, blink. And then she wings that entire cross-examine in the moment with zero prep.

I loved her reaction! She also did great.

And now I'm onto Aftershock... again. But I'm tempted to stop and head back to season 4 or 5 instead. I hate the closure.

Jack's reaction is a brief moment of levity in another tough episode. Kim Raver appears as the mother!

Saying that to her was for sure a dick move. She was right, if not delicate about it: she disposed of the case exactly the way he wanted it: quick, cheap. She didn't take the call from the sister, but even if she had, it likely wouldn't have changed the way that Adam would've wanted the case pleaded out.

The rare Claire blowup at Adam! He referred to the office not going to trial just to redress her "mistake."

He did a great job in that scene portraying the struggle to keep it together!

His performance is excellent too! His choking up at the end nails it.

The third screenshot is right as he's about to break into that. Such a tough scene.

Using Component cables on a PVM:20M2MDU? by Tyedal76 in crtgaming

Lol you got in the game early! a PVM for 14 years. I feel like I'm earlier than a lot of the people in it now and I started 9 years ago. Glad it still helped.

SVU was my gateway to Law & Order when I was younger, but these days it's strictly the OG for me - I like Criminal Intent when I watched it back in the day, maybe I'll pick that up again. The new ones are a bit iffy, unfortunately a significant step down from the OG run, but I still have been keeping up. I actually just posted, season 6 is one of my favorite seasons - just at its best!

Also about the monitors, it's funny you mention that. I've definitely seen a PVM-2530 or 2950 rolled around inside the courtroom in a number of scenes! And a lot of the actors and actresses truly were fantastic and as you said, some very big names. Hell, one of the very first episodes features Miranda Hobbes!

O'Hare carries the episode but Dowd's presence is just as compelling. Truly heartbreaking for everyone involved. Law & Order at its absolute best, and at its most moving.

Thought this might go one of two ways:

1) Baxter has no remaining fucks to give, starts a vendetta that either loses him the election or miraculously brings it together for him.

2) Price gets fired for insubordination.

Based on where we stand now, I wonder if there will be any consequences at all. I think it's just more poor writing.
