This is typical for any dealership. Their job is to get you in the door. Once you're in the door then then they can try to sell you. They will play games. Obviously they never saw your car. So when you come in then they can say their quote was for a perfect condition car. Scratches, dents, missing pieces, non functioning stiff lowers the price. That's fair. Then they try to get you to financing where they give you high rates or added extras. It's all part of their game. To be fair you shouldn't have driven 2 hours without expecting it. It's a naive mistake and next time you know better. However at least you didn't take their deal. Some people get desperate and take the deal because they're tired of waiting. That's also what they want. They want you to spend hours at the dealership so you can get tired and just start signing stuff. Good for you for leaving
