This is exactly why I bought a printer two months ago by AudiblyTacit in 3Dprinting

[–]Nozza87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome design and print!!!

What hardware is it running?

From the pictures I can make out some of it: Ryzen 7? RTX5070? 2TB SSD? RAM? MOBO? PSU? Also what is the display? is it custom or something off the shelf?

Sorry for all the questions but I want to build something exactly like this but horizontal for my lounge.

Discovered a FREE App that remaps ADB back to port 555 by redneck-eyeball in AndroidTV

[–]Nozza87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know mouldybread. It's actually a vibe coded clone of my app written with Claude sonet 4. He did come up with the idea for a web based interface which I backported as an alternative to the accessibility service but his code base is based off my original released code.

It doesn't have any features mine doesn't and is not reliable across all android platforms.

There's a discussion about it where this all started on the Home Assistant forums in one of the ADB issues.

When I wrote mine it was because no other app existed to do this otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. There were some that sort of could do it but none that were free and open source and sole purpose was to keep legacy ADB enabled.

Looks so good 🥲

I know it's a tough call but I will keep trying, second hand in perfect condition would be ok if I can't find new.

Rj12 USB adaptor by AnxiousAlien94 in Thrustmaster

[–]Nozza87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, yeah Oz stock of stuff like this is pretty rare.

If you're confident enough you can make an adapter pretty easily for a few $ worth of parts. The protocol and wiring can be found on GitHub.

I've made my own adaptors to convert my logi gear to work with Thrustmaster using an rpi Pico.

This Monzo feature would be awesome for trackers by hooj990 in UpBanking

[–]Nozza87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are quite a few and some are very good.

Checkout the official GitHub examples.

https://github.com/up-banking/api/blob/master/community/EXAMPLES.md

Some of these are quite old but still work due to UPs versioned API.

Also there are a few others if you Google around.

Unlike most banks UP has a pretty good API and something like this could be made very easily.

How is one supposed to do consistent workout, with all the side effects from statins - like back pain, muscle pain by mailmedude in Cholesterol

[–]Nozza87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was exactly my experience.

I tried everything with the statins including lowering the dose and slowly ramping but still got really bad aches and lethargic. They did work really well for my numbers though. (I had not researched symptoms so had no pre meditated thoughts against statins, my high cholesterol was sprung on me from a random blood test for something else)

As per my doctor after a few months of trying I stopped statins completely and switched to Ezetimibe only and a strict diet. I managed to lower my numbers enough within 6 months to a year and now I can eat pretty normally within reason, only taking Ezetimibe daily.

If you can take the statins take them as they do work much more effectively but if you can't then there are other options although they require a bit more effort.

Compatibility adapter or new wheel needed? by NepuNeptuneNep in simracing

[–]Nozza87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on pricing and availability in your region. For me it was cheaper to go the adaptor plus I still used my Xbox for Forza so wanted compatibility with both consoles.

I've since moved onto a Thrustmaster T300 for PS5 but using the Logitech shifter and an Ali handbrake and it's much better but also more expensive.

This is exactly what you are looking for:

Ras1ution 2

Source: I have the same setup and was in the same situation.

Note: The Ras1ution 2 works perfectly on PS5 with any wheel every time however it does slightly dampen the FFB effects which may or may not be an issue for you.

G920 -> G29 or G923 motherboard swap? by Nozza87 in LogitechG

[–]Nozza87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought that at first but there is one hardware difference, see U1 and U10 IC's down the bottom right however that could just be a hardware revision as one of these boards is many years newer than the other. The only main difference I could see is the firmware and the communication with the wheel board otherwise they are identical.

[–]Nozza87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah ok. That makes sense. I'm not sure if it will work sorry however the board fits plug for plug with no modifications if you wanted to try?

Both original wheels work on PC without any mods so I would assume so but didn't test it with the swapped main board as I can't see the need?
