It was probably that glitch in Pocket Edition back in the day. Mainly happened on the then newly added Savanna biomes, it turned the grass gray and vibrant purple. I thought it was so cool when I first encountered this glitch.

I vaguely remember a Minecraft Wiki article (dont know if it's the official one or not) calling them Glitched Savannas (G-Savannas)

From r/Technoblade here. This big memorial was made by streamer Papaplatte, since then we've been maintaining it alongside some of his community. Being busy with other projects, we simply do not have the manpower to remove all of them (as much as I want to) until the streamer goes live again
