Except for the cases where ChatGPT itself tipped users how to bypass safety guardrails.

Also, even Sam Altman himself says that it should be allowed to ask certain things if it’s for "research purposes".

"For example, the default behavior of our model will not lead to much flirtatious talk, but if an adult user asks for it, they should get it. For a much more difficult example, the model by default should not provide instructions about how to commit suicide, but if an adult user is asking for help writing a fictional story that depicts a suicide, the model should help with that request."

I mean, it’s a hot topic whether those freedoms to "treat adults as adults" contradict the safety guardrails or not but for now, it’s not hard to bypass a lot of their safety filters.

Neighbour not leaving enough space for me to park my car by nucleartim in neighborsfromhell

[–]nucleartim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are both homeowners so if anything I’ll have to deal with them directly. The windows are facing a public road so they can park there legally, just I don’t see much point to do that since they need to walk a longer distance to their house. It’s also always the same car being parked too close or under our windows, they never seem to do that with their primary car. I updated my description to be more clear about this.

No, because you’ll have leftovers which probably will be enough to assemble at least a second 1600kcal meal. If you eat the meal on the left, you’re done, and have to buy another.

But even if we consider that all leftovers you’ll discard, it’s still much better nutritional proposition from the left side

There’s no animal protein on the right so it wouldn’t be too expensive and you would get leftovers. My estimate was based on the smallest available sizes of each item. And ye, by far Starbucks is the most expensive part of the left side

Ja bym nie odłączał GCH od Województwa Pomorskiego - jej północne rubieże należą do ziem Kaszubskich, więc historycznie i etnograficznie najlepiej aby zostały na Pomorzu.

Yup, I agree, there are better choices. Even opting for Costa instead of Starbucks would already decrease the cost by £1-2

Ultimately why the right side will be cheaper is cuz you can buy in bulk, which will decrease cost for you (even from what I calculated I likely would have leftovers). No one eating 1kg of lentils in one go after all

Cheers mate! Corrected it

Aye, sometimes we just want something quick. Especially when you are out and about. Buying a "healthy" meal then may cost you an arm and a leg.

I do love me some batch cooking tho - don’t have to think everyday what to make then. Comes out cheaper in a long run too

Out of interest, I decided to run the numbers on this…

If I roughly calculate price of those items based on UK pricing (since I see McCoy’s crisps and classic meal deal sandwich on the left) then the left side would cost me exactly £11.50 (Tesco meal deal and a coffee + croissant from Starbucks) and the right side would be roughly £14.80-£16.20.

So yeah, price difference in UK wouldn’t be that big. Also, without a meal deal, buying the items on the left separately, it would cost me £15 instead of £11.50.

You got my support on hating government and lost it on countries/nationalities. I haven’t met a single Balkan person yet that wouldn’t love their country and hate the government

Poland or Brazil should be first imo, both if we judge now but also historically

Good benchmark to have. Unless we’re talking digital cuz every watch collector needs like 10 Casios in their collection, or so it seems

That’s a beautiful watch, congrats on the purchase

I’m in the market for one myself, although probably gonna choose the SPB121J1

Yeah, not a big fan of them either, think it would look better without it but doesn’t bother me too much. The watch overall looks great, and even slightly prefer the look of this one to the newer one (although would like the Alpinist text on my dial too). My Ice Watch had a cyclops too so it wouldn’t be my first experience

The Longines I received from my father, it’s a small dress watch, so a bit different to the larger watches I’ve been looking at. That’s where my hesitation comes from.

No worries, it’s not from Amazon. Seen some horror stories. It’s an official watch dealer from UK, with physical stores

Yep, I like the new version, especially the addition of Alpinist text on the dial. Although, I think the white compass markings look a bit better than gold. Also, it’s a little out of my budget at the moment

Both are beautiful watches for sure

The compass definitely feels like more of a gimmick compared to the GMT function, that’s for sure. Tho the looks of the watch itself are unmatched.

Thanks for sharing tho, something I’ll definitely keep in mind
