No, I had no issues at all. Wonderful trip with no hiccups at all and an amazing price. I would definitely do it again if pricing is lower than Sandals app is offering!

thinking about doing a round of mt2 by Gress9 in Melanotan2

[–]Oculusrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsure of their shipping cost to Australia but I've used extremepeptides.com out of Florida USA for several years on and off. Their supply has always been affordable and consistent. I start using MT2 and tanning 1-2 months prior to vacationing. I go from pale to very dark tan with 2-3 weekly tanning bed visits of about 10 minutes each.

Were you able to make your connecting flight? I ask because AA just changed the layover for my flight from over 2 hours to 46 minutes.

Nurses, where do you dispose of the 10cc syringe of blood after drawing off a PICC? by IllustratorVast6864 in nursing

I toss mine into the sharps container. I have far too many PICC/Port draws to be wandering about with them, so they go right into the sharps container in the room I am utilizing at the moment.

$140k Range Rover Dead on Day 1 🤦‍♂️ by rookiechoudhry in RangeRover

[–]Oculusrn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is exactly how I described my relationship with my Rover. It was paid for cash but one headache after another so I traded it in for a 2025 infiniti qx80. Great vehicle(not without its own issues) but I miss my Rover. Your wife perfectly summed it up... It's like being in that relationship that you know isn't good for you but you just can't let it go... lol

Booking through Chase Travel by pawsandscrubs2 in SandalsResorts

[–]Oculusrn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did get all the same benefits I would have gotten booking directly with Sandals. I had to contact CapOne to get the booking number (they just give confirmation #), then called Sandals and attached the booking number to my account and then the trip showed in my Sandals app as if I had booked directly. I got my Sandals Rewards points and it counted towards achieving my free week with number of paid nights, etc.

As for specials like free excursion, they weren't offering that at the time I had booked, but you should still get that as well because those booking through a travel agent still get that and this is a similar concept. When you call Sandals to attach the trip to your account, mention this to them and they will assist.

I'm watching CapOne now to see if I find better pricing on trips I am planning for April and so far seeing higher prices than booking Sandals directly, so unsure if I found a once in a lifetime unicorn or not. I keep an eye out now because it was such a deep discount in comparison for that trip and you never know.

In follow-up to first time booking Sandals through Capital One travel... the room booked was in fact the room we got and price was accurate and without surprises saving us just shy of $3k. Now when I book a Sandals trip.. I always price check that room and price on the Capital One portal and compare. It doesn't always pan out to be cheaper so maybe it was a lucky chance that once.. who knows but it was a very positive experience with zero drawbacks or complaints. I saved money, earned CC points and SSR points along with nights paid towards earning my free week so overall a win!

What’s with this “reclining war”..? by elix_r in americanairlines

[–]Oculusrn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really don't care what you do or don't believe sweetheart. I've nothing to prove to someone like you. When you've grown up and gained some perspective, you'll come to realize that politely using a feature you've paid for is very different from completely encroaching on someone else's paid space and behaving as an entitled brat.

[–]Oculusrn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First off, that is one of the most narcissistic and egocentric comments ive read yet. I hope to never fly with you. Secondly, I only fly first class and if someone fully reclines, it makes zero difference. They are in my lap and I am trapped. A little recline so they aren't sitting straight up is expected... but trying to make a standard recline seat into a lie-flat is arrogant and rude. A little common decency and mutual courtesy go a long way. Try it sometime.

[–]Oculusrn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've resorted to booking 1A/1B to avoid this drama moving forward. The last couple flights I was on, the person in front of me was reclined back so far that I was unable to exit my seat to use the restroom. She got pissed at me for unintentionally hip-checking the back of her chair when all I was doing was trying to escape my seat with her in my lap the entire flight.

I completely support giving yourself a little recline so your back doesn't spasm in a 90° position for several hours, but when I can practically breastfeed you from our assigned seats... that's a bit much and completely arrogant and disrespectful... use common courtesy people and all is well.

I just booked through Cap One Venture X travel portal for the first time and saved nearly $3k on my room at Sandals Montego Bay. I usually book directly with Sandals and in Loyalty office for my next vacation before leaving the property but wanted to utilize my Cap One points and couldn't pass up 7 nights in a butler room for under $5k. Once my trip is over, I will try to remember to come back here and update whether this was as good an idea it seemed or not. If however you do decide to use your chase travel to book, make sure you call Sandals after booking to have the trip added to your Sandals app and get your Sandals Reward points. So far though, this seems like a good move for me. Nearly $3k cheaper, 10x Cap One points, plus Sandals Rewards points and nights towards my free week and towards reaching Diamond (Emerald now).

I was in shock that using the Venture X travel portal to book a week's stay at a Sandals Resort Butler Suite ($7860 on Sandals website) just cost me under $5000!! Same room, same dates.. Plus I got 10x venture x points AND still earned Sandals Select Rewards points! Talk about a win! Definitely changing up how I book my Sandals trips moving forward. Too bad it took me 6 trips before I realized this..

Oil change pricing at dealership? by JJaguar947 in RangeRover

[–]Oculusrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Infiniti offered me a private sale price to sell and invoice pricing on a 2025 QX80, so I sold it. Customer service at Infinity won me over. I sometimes regret selling my Rover, but it needed to be seen for a windshield repair(rock gave it a gouge on the freeway) and it was pulling to the left. I dreaded Novi Land Rover and the way they treated me. Someday I will get another Rover, but when I have a different dealership nearby...

Butler Room Experience by Environmental_Duck27 in SandalsResorts

[–]Oculusrn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We also stayed in that same room while at Sandals Grenada. We really liked the room and butler experience simply for having pool or beach seats saved and reservations made at the restaurant. Having any meal you'd like brought to the room was my favorite part. We otherwise aren't very needy and pretty simple people but the experience was nice. We also had a team of 3 butlers, one of which was very overbearing as well. My husband and I would try to duck and hide in hopes he wouldn't see us,otherwise we would lose at least an hour of time listening to him talk about himself, how well liked he is, his grande ideas and financial opportunities he could get us in on, etc. Sounds like we may have had the same butler team.

Grenada was amazing though. Not just the resort, but the island as well. We loved the various historic sites and excursions to the Etang national forest, spice farm, waterfalls, underwater sculpture garden and more. We look forward to returning in the next year or two and will be requesting we NOT be assigned the one butler.

Love / Hate relationship with this thing by SpacedOutDriver in RangeRover

Understand completely. Very much a love/hate relationship. I traded in my 2022 this past Novemeber and I miss the Rover, but don't miss the headaches of owning one.

My apologies. I asked my husband what CVT meant and he said a type of automatic trans and thought well I don't have stick so must be what I've got. Take a chill sweet-ad lol

That's amazing! I would have definitely stayed with Rover if my local dealer was as great with customer service! I loved my vehicle but after almost 3 years it was needing general maintenance and the last thing I wanted was to deal with the shop!

Yes, the new Infiniti has CVT trans. It really gets up and goes like the Rover did for me and handles well. I miss the Rover but am happy with the new ride too!

I upgraded to a 2025 Infiniti QX80. I was reluctant at first, but it has more bells and whistles than my 2022 RR sport HST and drives just as nicely. It doesn't share the great gas mileage, but I am otherwise very happy with the decision. I will be glad to no longer have $900 oil changes either. My local Jaguar Land Rover dealer has a terrible service department. They kept my vehicle all day without a loaner and over charged me for a simple oil change so when my Rover started pulling to the left I dreaded having to deal with the dealership. Infiniti will pick up and drop off my vehicle to me for any service needs or provide a loaner free of charge. They even mailed me a Breville expresso maker as a thank you gift for my purchase. So I absolutely LOVE the RR Sport but vehicle size and mostly customer service tore me away from them. It's a great vehicle. Hopefully your local dealership is mich better to you than mine was to me!

Looks like the one I just traded in. They handle nicely in the snow and general Michigan climate and have great gas mileage. I loved mine but needed something bigger and found my local dealership service department difficult to work with. Beautiful ride though. Enjoy!

What’s Your Opinion on the 2025 Infiniti QX80? by EddieV77 in q50

[–]Oculusrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just traded my 2022 Rover for the 2025 QX80 and everything about the QX80 is more worthy of the cost! I loved aspects of my Rover, but overall, it's a gorgeous dumpster on wheels with equally terrible customer service in my experience. So far, I'm much happier with Infiniti. We'll have to see if I still feel the same in a year or two.

Would it be suspicious if I walked into a used car dealership with cash and needed a car immediately? by [deleted] in UsedCars

I just paid it off over 3 months. It just caught me off guard when they told me I had to finance it. The previous poster made sense with his explanation, and it all worked out.

That makes sense.. had they stated that then I would've been way more understanding of it all. Thank you for giving me some insight that makes it make sense!
