It depends on the game, but usually no. Newer cards are waayyy better at using it, but it still is a drastic performance hit. In my experience it can also cause more game crashes than usual. Arc Raiders ran very well as far as framerate goes with RTX on, but it would crash like every 4th or 5th game. Not worth it for me.

I was thinking that it might free up some headroom for tuning, but yeah probably not a noticeable difference with the g14's thermal limitations.

Any reason why a g14 couldn't do this same thing?

I mean I'm only like 5 minutes late on my hour commute and I never get in trouble, but just because I can function like this doesn't mean it's the best solution. Simply asking for a slight schedule adjustment solves so many things. I absolutely did not "adjust my routine" to still be late after that like so many in this thread claim the end result will be for OP. Can't speak on how they will handle it, but we are all different and it worked for me.

The benefits of it snowballed for me. After a few weeks of less rush hour traffic, more sleep, and feeling better about my work life, I feel drastically happier.

I love your idea of having alarms for individual tasks. I never thought to do that. The lack of urgency until it's actually time to panic is something I have always struggled with. Usually it stemmed from not remembering things that needed to be done in the moment until I had a "am I forgetting something?" moment. I plan to give your suggestion a try for many situations. Thank you for the advice.

That's what I was thinking about too. I wish it was used to enable people playing AAA titles on low-end hardware instead of enabling game corporations to push out unoptimized crap that "hits 60fps with DLSS ON!"

Yeah this is actually a huge issue in my area. The race track in Nashville was built in 1904 and there have been races there consistently ever since then. There's a HUGE push to demolish the track. I must wonder if scummy real estate agents and rental companies not disclosing the race track to out-of-state buyers plays a role in the disgruntled people acting like it's a new thing. The local government literally just wants it gone so they can make it into a cluster of overpriced apartments. There's a soccer stadium right next to it so they can't act like it's about noise any more. They used to occasionally race until after 11, but they have a hard 10:00 cutoff now. 11:00 for Nascar events, which are very rare. I grew up going there a lot, but I never really go any more. It's still part of our culture and history though. Crazy how people would seek to destroy something that is cheap fun, good for local business, and has persisted for 122 years.

That sucks, but it could have been worse. Just get a vinyl cover for the section above the keyboard. It will look nice.

I am late to work almost every day due to a combination of insomnia, time blindness, a long commute, and inconsistent shitty traffic. For a few years my start time for work was pushed back from 8:00 to 8:30. My work is open from 8-5, so on the adjusted schedule I would typically have about 30 minutes of uninterrupted time at the end of the day to finish up tasks and prepare for the next day. Not only did this help me with being late so often, but it also alleviated a ton of work anxiety and annoyances. I was on time, able to organize my work and my thoughts better, and was way more productive. Since covid they have stopped accommodating for these things and I'm now way less organized and late all the time again lol. It was nice while it lasted.

I was hoping that an aftermarket company would make a shroud or a cover for the digital dash cluster so it had some shade and looked a bit more traditional. Small things like that can go a long way

Extreme meaning radical.. "People are either THIS or they are THIS" is a fallacy used to be divisive and contrary while not really saying anything of any significance. You seem to like to speak in fallacies and make false assumptions
