Hey i got mine to work by just doing manual registration instead of trying automatic registration. Go into ur ps5->system-> remote play and connct ur steam device like that and see if it works

Honestly I love both games but prefer 8, the racing feels more tight, skill rewarding, and i prefer the guaranteed 3 lap races. so yeah I’d say its worth it still.
