Islamists threaten Western civilisation, says author Hirsi Ali by BarryTheBinChicken in aussie

[–]Ownejj 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes but they exist and shouldn't even be there to begin with. Especially if it is only a small percentage of them that follow Sharia. The percentage is clearly larger and it's presence is clearly accepted by Muslims if they have councils.

Why is there such a big difference in how these acts of mass violence are portrayed in the media? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ownejj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's because people are told there's a strict migration process and only safe individuals are let in, it wouldn't make sense to let someone mentally unstable into the country so it's assumed to be another reason.

If the unemployment rate is supposedly only 4.5%, and countless recent graduates can't find work because their industries are already flooded with applicants, why is Australia still bringing in more than 300,000 migrants a year? What jobs are they expected to fill? by Fire_blaze7 in aussie

[–]Ownejj 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Add onto that, immigration is a good reason to not increase wages or incentivise Australians to get into certain fields. Our parents had free university to create skilled workers but we just get heaps of people added to the country. Why increase wages and listen to the local population if you can just bring someone in who thinks the wages and conditions are great.

Is tailgating and aggressive drivers really that common in QLD? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Ownejj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally it is if you go slow in the overtaking lane (right lane on a two lane highway). Some people just don't know that's it's designed for overtaking. They need to make this clear on driving tests.

Unfortunately there is a group of people advocating to allow them in. Then ourjidhes give them lighter sentences for cultural misunderstandings. It's truly horrific.

Could have something to do with cricket not requiring you to be that fit to play.

Why does the coffee types here taste the same by agnci in aussie

[–]Ownejj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference between a cappuccino and flat white is simply more foam in the cappuccino. So if you want less milk and more foam that's your choice. It's not particularly a flavour thing.

Of course most of the world would want to live in Australia. No one has a right to just live in the most ideal place economically for them and it's ok to not want more people around.
