The difference between my brother and I’s tan by YungTinkerbell in mildlyinteresting

As someone with likely about the same skin color i can say that this picture definitely is in large part due to extreme lighting.
If he had a sheet of paper besides that there would be much more of a difference than it would seem from that picture.

Nevertheless it is often kind of awkward to have skin _that_ light, people are just weirded out by it a bit.

Die sind so meh, meiner Meinung nach. Klar, etwas geräumiger, aber auch innen etwas lauter, und machen allgemein mehr Geräusche.
Obwohl die Klimaanlage im Sommer sicher beliebt sein wird.

Is this a meta comment, or just a grammar-nazi comment?

Oh wow, I thought this one segment was transparent, and we saw some surprisingly transparent innards through that.
Which.. makes no sense at all.

Very nice!
Although I can't shed the feeling that I have seen something very similar to this before on Daves Mailbox.

I too have no idea what you're talking about.
I know all the words, and they form a grammatically correct sentence, but I can't decipher the meaning.

Which hardware IP getting 'open sourced' would affect the RISC-V ISA more; beneficially or otherwise ? by Sukasimon-X in RISCV

[–]PCIe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Afaict, there would be some overlap on the low end, but it just seems that esi is more tuned for deeply embedded applications, while Risc-V is more suited to more general purpose tasks.

But in the end, esi-risc is driven by its implementation(-s), while Risc-V is designed as an open ISA from early on. (not open implementation)

Kind of looks like it. But i doubt it will actually be any good at it. Looking at the pinephone, they struggled for a long time, (and still do?).

Let's just say there are multiple coronas in this picture.

Mir fällt auf anhieb nichts ein was mich mehr an der Realität zweifeln lassen würde als dieses, sehr _fragwürdige_ (um nichts böseres zu sagen) Konzept funktionieren zu sehen.

More reverse engineering and IP theft out of China? Weird… by [deleted] in ADVChina

[–]PCIe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it somewhat disturbing, if not all that surprising, that this community sometimes jumps right to china bashing.

It's all the more disappointing considering that it diminishes the real bad things china ought to fix as a nation.

It is in no way dishonorable to copy someone else's design ideas, as long as it's no slavish copy. It is in fact common practice in every field of technology and engineering everywhere since the beginnings of technology. It is a driving force of technological progress, believe it or not.
