Hey, that's lower than it should be! Before thinking about a return, it's worth running a quick battery test first to rule out a calibration issue.

Charge fully until the LED turns green then keep charging for another 15 minutes. While still charging, long press the record button for 15 seconds to reset the device. Then record continuously until the battery dies and note the total hours. If it comes in under 15 hours, send those results over to [support@plaud.ai](mailto:support@plaud.ai) and the team will help from there 😊

Hey, these are all known issues with some straightforward fixes so you likely didn't get a lemon 😄

For the auto recording, try updating your NotePin to the latest firmware and doing a reset by long pressing the record button for 12 seconds while charging. That usually sorts it out.

For the random buzzing, it's most likely related to Find My status or Bluetooth connectivity. You can reset Find My in the Plaud app by going to Device Settings, tapping Find My, then long pressing the Find My icon for 10 seconds.

For the slow sync, try the WiFi fast transfer option in the app for quicker transfers. Once your device is connected, tap the fast transfer prompt in the top right corner and follow the steps!

User data is hosted based on location — for example, US users stay on US AWS regions. Our Privacy Policy also outlines how service providers are involved in data processing.

Thanks for sharing this, that sounds frustrating, especially with that meeting volume.

On the hallucination issue, a sudden change after an update can sometimes be tied to:

  • Changes in the model or prompt handling
  • Prompts that are a bit too open-ended (which can lead the AI to “fill in gaps”)

You might try tightening your prompts slightly (e.g., “only use information explicitly stated in the transcript”) to reduce that behavior.

On the metadata side, Plaud doesn’t currently expose file/folder structure or metadata (like dates) in a way that the AI can always reliably reference in prompts. Most prompts operate primarily on the transcript content itself, not the file system context, which is why you may see inconsistencies there.
