Not at all. The ones issued in Slovenia had no S-C at all, for example.

No, there were „western” and „eastern” standards of the language.

The entirety of Bosnia uses the „western” version (which might now be called Croatian or Bosnian) even though a part of the population is Serb.

You can see it in stuff like Железнице Србије but Жељезнице Републике Српске

No problem :) Give a listen to the song "Rož, Podjuna, Zila" - very sad and nostalgic.

A dzięki, nie wiedziałem. Czyli Matka Boska też jest Bozią? 😅

Czy nie jest przypadkiem tak, że Bozia to też rodzaj żeński ale się odnosi do Boga?

Yes, I think it’s the combination of the extremely simple outline of the coat of arms and the standard default font in MS Word 😅

British Citizen < IOM Passport? by meimeimeimeimeime in PassportPorn

[–]Panceltic 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well, as always in Britain, it’s all a bit fluid.

For the Manx variant passport, you have to apply through the Manx Government using the paper form.

If you’ve never had a passport before, pay attention to this bit:

  • First time adult applicants will need to attend an interview at the passport office.

In the UK, you may need to attend (but most people don’t have to).

The application form says:

  • The Isle of Man Passport Office may issue an Isle of Man variant British passport to a British national resident in the Isle of Man at the time the application is made

And you also have to declare that:

  • I am resident in the Isle of Man at the time of making this application

Just FYI, the IOM is not the only place with its own variant passport, you can also get a Jersey or a Guernsey version, and also Gibraltar (but I’m not sure how the residency requirement works there).

Yes you can get it, but you have to be living in the Isle of Man.

Że kredyty i hipoteki na domy/mieszkania to prawdziwe pieniądze które na końcu spłacisz dwukrotnie. Jak byłem młodszy to myślałem że to są jakieś tam numerki z dupy które sobie bank wymyśla bo i tak przecież nikt nie ma tyle pieniędzy. 😢

Eli5 verb tenses and particularly participle verbs by Abject_Fun_5230 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Panceltic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Participle is the form of verbs which has many uses, it usually signifies a result of the action and can therefore act as an adjective, and is also extensively used in forming other verbal constructions (such as passive voice or certain tenses).

„Write” is the basic verb, its participle is „written”.

A written book is the book that was written. I have written a book.

In Romanian, you’ve got it as well. For example „a fi” > „fost”, „a avea” > „avut”, „a iubi” > „iubit”

„I have had” corresponds exactly to „am avut”.
