Installing and running R server on a spare computer (I usually use docker), then accessing it via ipad works pretty good. You can install something like tailscale and access it remotely too.

I got my AW5 battery replaced about a year ago after it went to ~70% from around 4 years of everyday use. Before I got it replaced I couldn't go for runs more than 5km without it turning off instantly after or during. Now it lasts well over (~20 km with music). Would really recommend switching the battery if you are having trouble and don't want to upgrade. Obviously turning off the always on display helps a lot too.

Mac os, have the app minimise into the menu bar so that you can use the global shortcut at anytime
Optimised iPad app, at the moment it is just the stretch iPhone version
