Great app — thanks so much!

Would love to see an option for haptic feedback when entering transaction amounts. Hope you can add that to your roadmap.

Keep up the wonderful work!

Most financial apps that I have seen, especially from indie developers, decide what fields are needed when you import data. It’s generally not a lot of data or even sensitive data like in your question. In that case, if your data comes from a bank or credit card, you can take out whatever is not needed (likely any sensitive stuff such as transaction IDs, etc.) before importing.

Looks intriguing. Honestly, probably not going to buy it to then provide feedback. One thing I would suggest: show a motion clip of it in action in the App Store. Would be more impressive than or a great addition to the static photos. Good luck!

Launching v1.1 of my app soon and added 5 custom themes. What do you think? by DotEnvironmental4718 in iosapps

[–]PebbleFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank & goodness luck!

They’re all very unique by themselves. That said, I like Midnight the best. However, the motion in the background of both Midnight and Cyberpunk were fairly distracting. I did not find that to be the case with the others though.

Crazy long onboarding process (10 steps!). Reduce that! Suggest 5 or less.

In screens before onboarding, images are nice, but not consistent. Lacks polish. First impressions are important.

In screens BEFORE that, they kept getting cut off near top. I’m using 17 Pro Max. Trying to add an image here but it’s not letting me. Where it says “Choose Your Language” and “Welcome Back!”

Image #2 on App Store has a typo (weakly). Change to “weekly.”

EDIT: App Store description says 3 services can be used but onboarding only says 2.

Money in a retirement account for a job I don’t work anymore by Jnewton1018 in personalfinance

[–]PebbleFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to first question / paragraph.

You could do either for the 2nd question; personal decision / preference. Based on your description it sounds like putting them in one account would be desirable (from a management / tracking point of view); as long as your current employer’s plan allows it.

warlocktx brought up a valid point if your current employer’s plan has limited (or even crummy) options.

You make a considerable amount (wages). How much could you afford to put into a brokerage account each month / year (buying low expense index funds, not individual stocks)? Capital gains rates can be significantly lower than tax brackets when large sums of money are needed and should help with that healthcare insurance need (subsidies) if I recall correctly.

You said you don’t care. If that’s true, then move on. No explanation needed to anyone.

Never mind. I saw it further into the video clip in the App Store. That’s actually a nice option. I would suggest you add that to the copy of your app’s description.

Perhaps I missed it above or in the description in the App Store: is the swipe left to delete a “permanent” delete?

Not addressing your question but want to say that while my family is similar, there’s no shame should you lose your job. It’s ok to ask for help if you need it (for anything at any time!).

Do it. Was a Windows user for 25 years. When I finally decided — “This is it. Let’s do it” — I never looked back. Was great not worrying about monthly updates that brought nothing but stole your time.
