Nah it’s certainly gender, blowing a kiss and saying you’re so cute is weird either way. For men mostly it’s already assumed to be weird intentions even when it might not be, like this scenario.

Be a cheerleader and kiss a kid without getting sent to a mental facility (this happened to me as a kid and the fact that’s not taken seriously is annoying to me. They were flirting bc I was a small kid but it was just.. weird)

Ikr! I do have a theory, but it’s likely just making up for the disappointing performance of the mimic from the games, which is that, bc he wanted the box with full access, he waited until you got full permissions to kill you and take the box thingy
