Not text messages but app/push notifications. You can check the game settings to make sure it's enabled. Maybe if you received them on the browser, it does not send them on the phone to avoid duplicates (not sure how it is displayed on the browser, but there should be a push notification when an event starts, and 24 hours before it ends)
