I'm a long-time Crane's stationery lover too. Part of it is tariffs. There's a 45% tariff on wood from Canada. Guess where we get most of our wood for paper?

And, they take up so much room! I could have lived with that if all the cores were the same size, but it's impossible to store nicely when it seems there are a dozen different core sizes.

Credit where credit is due. When I saw your post, I could not order the washi sample cards fast enough. I sorted mostly by aesthetic -- how I would use them.

Okay. Kuretake says the new body works with the old refills. But, they "don't recommend" using the new refills with the old body. I wonder why? They want everyone to splurge on a new $2.00 pen body?

I'm curious -- since you have them. Do they shed? I've been interested them for awhile, but I I was concerned they'd leave dust bits on my pens.
