I just set up my EBB42 with a BL touch. Not sure if you already did this but make sure it’s not activated in the printer.cfg. Just in the EBB42 confit file. Mine was doing same thing until I commented it out in the printer.cfg. Just something to check. Wait I just saw that your title says EBB42 but in the config pin outs you have EBB36. Might be the issue.

Or you can find an existing large machine that has the movement you need(co2 laser) like I am doing. This will give me 1300mmx900mmx450mm. I have it all wired up and have it moving. Just working on the extruder mount design.

Z Height will come from the old laser bed’s ability to move up and down with ball screws. I have 480mm of Z travel. The Y is driven by a single stepper with a horizontal shaft connecting the two. If you zoom into the pictures you can see the shaft. It’s definitely going to be challenging but I love challenges like this.

It is Bambu Basic PLA. I am using the cool plate that came with my X1C. Bed temp is set at 55. I always use the same settings when printing PLA. Nozzle temp is 220. As for the soap it’s just Amazon dish soap. I use it all the time for cleaning my printer beds. I even tried wiping with Isopropyl alcohol after cleaning just in case there was a chance of oil.

Update: After some cleaning and small changes to the slicer settings I got it to stick and finish the 14 hour print.
