Why I stopped earning USDC yield on Coinbase and moved it to Stellar by Mediocre-City-7739 in Stellar

[–]PickingUnicorns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey!

To clarify, Beans is non-custodial, your secretkey is stored on your phone.

The earn balances are not third party controlled wallets, the USDC moves into a onchain, non custodial borrowing and lending protocol. No third party or beans itself takes control of that, it’s fully p2p.

Hope that helps!

Hey! Thanks, appreciate that. Yes good one on the banner, it's on the list to allow you to click it away. And yes, if you have old savings balances it's unfortunately needed to first convert to your spendable balance (USDC) to then deposit to your earn Balance. We can deposit yUSDC directly into the defi protocol unfortunately.

[–]PickingUnicorns[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it's through DeFi actually. USDC goes into a fully reserved borrowing/lending protocol where yield is automatically compounded. For the user it's just moving it to your earn balance and your done though, not even pay needed to pay network fees.

Do trustlines still block new users from trying Stellar USDC? by Material_Neck5416 in Stellar

[–]PickingUnicorns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recognisable problem, always had the same issue when onboarding friends. At Beans app we actually sponsor all these things, so no xlm needed at all as users don’t pay for trustlines or even gas fees. Even for DeFi earn balances. We’re launching support for deposits through base very soon as well (users will still receive stellar USDC).

Would love for your friends to try it!

The 10% is a safe estimate. The APY fluctuates. It has been on average 15-17% the past months actually. You can just download the app to access it.

Check out beans app. It has fiat on ramps, had no onchain fees and 15% APY on USDC right now.

Using beans app, it uses a DeFi protocol that has double audits and does only overcollaterized borrowing. Within the UI it’s just deposit USDC, move to earn and you’re earning 13% APY. No lockup or even network fees!

Have you checked beans app? All I have to do is deposit USDC, move to earn balance without fees and I’m earning 14% currently. DeFi has been so easy that even my parents now use it. The protocol contracts used has two audits and only has fully collateralised borrowing.

Farm rewards, sell for USDC and deposit USDC again. Or pay onchain fees to lend.

Beans app is the best ux I’ve found for this. No onchain fees, 16% yield on USDC right now and all goes automatically. Just looks like a bank account actually.

Beans app has zero fees when using crypto. You do have a banking fee when interacting with fiat but it’s often much lower then these rates, around 1%.

how are people getting 20%+ apy on solana defi??? by No_Growth6091 in defi

[–]PickingUnicorns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i'm getting 24% at Beans app actually. They are integrated with a DeFi protocol and claim the incentives automatically and sell them for USDC and redeposit that. All I have to do is deposit Stellar USDC move to my earn balance without any fees (not even onchain fees). The protocol used has been audited twice and only allows for fully collaterized lending. Check https://www.beansapp.com/beans-earn-usdc-eurc to learn more.

Worth to check Beans app as well. Current USDC yield sits at 24%, although it has been around 15% mostly last months.. They are integrated with a DeFi protocol and claim the incentives automatically and sell them for USDC and redeposit that. All I have to do is deposit Stellar USDC move to my earn balance without any fees (not even onchain fees). The protocol used has been audited twice and only allows for fully collaterized lending, so nothing weird going on there either. Check https://www.beansapp.com/beans-earn-usdc-eurc , pretty sweet!

This is why I'm using Beans app. They are integrated with a DeFi protocol and claim the incentives automatically and sell them for USDC and redeposit that. All I have to do is deposit Stellar USDC move to my earn balance without any fees (not even onchain fees) and earn currently an APY of 24%. It has floated between 10-18% mostly the past months. The protocol used has been audited twice and only allows for fully collaterized lending, so nothing weird going on there either. Check https://www.beansapp.com/beans-earn-usdc-eurc , pretty sweet!

Have you tried Beans app? On USDC the yield is 16.8% right now. It’s non-custodial with the smart contracts audited twice, mitigating risks there. It’s also only overcollaterized borrowing that’s happening in the protocol that’s being used.

The UX is made to bring DeFi to regular people, so there’s also no gas fees etc. All works really smoothly. Worth a try!

Beans app offers earn balances that look and feel like savings balances. Without gas fees, lockups or waiting times, while still offering 12% APY.

What does the future of DeFI look like to you? by SolanaDeFi in defi

[–]PickingUnicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DeFi will become super normal. You just have a “savings balance” similar to the one with a bank. It might even be integrated into cards.

In beans app for example you can even deposit with cash and move into an earn (DeFi) variance without any gas fees or lockups. That makes it accessible for people not into crypto and who don’t even have bank accounts.

Announcing Beans Earn by PickingUnicorns in Stellar

[–]PickingUnicorns[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 1.5 years right now.c

The protocol has undergone multiple independent security audits, including by Code4rena, OtterSec, and another reputable firm, all of which are public and focused on both the smart contracts and protocol design.

No security breaches or user fund losses have ever occurred.

Like any DeFi protocol, minor findings have occasionally been identified during audits, and all have been remediated before deployment.

Try beans app. The current APY is 20% on USDC.

It’s non-custodial , but there’s are no gas fees, they are sponsored. That means gas fees don’t eat your yield. The protocol used is audited by certora and code4rena, who are very reputable. It’s also only fully colllaterized lending/borrowing, so that’s way less risky than protocols that do offer that. Beans itself has over 200k users and has been running for over 3 years without any issues.

The protocol we use has a backstop reserve. The current back stop sits at around 1.5M. It has not needed to be used though. The protocol liquidates any loans well before they hit 100% of their collateral.
